Note: Yes, I understand that the real Connor Murphy had issues, and that as an audience, we only really knew the fake version Evan made up. I also understand that Evan has anxiety, and his own issues as well.

Warning: Suicide mentions.

To say that you were unhappy when you found out that your family was moving was an understatement. You were furious, because all you wanted to do was finish high school and go to college with your boyfriend. Well, now ex-boyfriend because he dumped you when you told him you were moving, plus he had been cheating on you anyway.

With your best friend no less.

Well, now ex-best friend, but you get the point.

The new school you were going to was much bigger than your last one, and you were hoping that you could stay and the background, maybe staying unnoticed if you were lucky enough. People didn't like you, and you didn't like them, so this plan would make your life much easier. You had taken a tour of the school the day before, and it seemed easy enough to navigate.

Now you were walking in the hallway with a guy by the name of Evan Hansen, who was making sure you didn't get lost. At least he was really nice to you, and his soft blue outfit seemed to match his fairly quiet personality. "So I think I have English next, do you know where that would be?" You asked. He looked at your schedule, nodding slightly.

"It's three doors down on the right side." He pointed to your left, and there was a sign hanging with the teacher's name. "Thanks." You noticed a figure out of the corner of your eye, and turned your head the slightest bit. He was tall, pretty much ninety percent leg from what you could see. He wore all black, had long hair, and looked like he would rather be anywhere else than here.

"Who's that?" You asked, Evan following your gaze. "Him? That's C-Connor Murphy. You know Zoe  Murphy?" She asked. "I've heard the name. I think she's in my math class." "That's her brother." You were shocked. Zoe Murphy? The prep girl that everyone loves, that's in the jazz band? "She's related to him?"

They had the same hair color, but that's where the similarities end. "Ya, I know. He's a pretty good f-friend of mine. We met last year when he s-signed my cast." You nodded, looking back in his direction again, only to find that he wasn't there. "Hey Ev." You heard a voice say, causing you to jump a little bit.

Evan laughed a little bit, and you turned around, seeing Connor behind you. Now that he was closer, you noticed a few things you couldn't see from afar. Like the patch of brown in one of his eyes. You also noticed that he had eyeliner on, that was sharp enough to cut a bitch. "That eyeliner looks like it could cut a bitch. Did you do that yourself?" You asked.

He smiled. "Ya, Zoe showed me a concealer trick that you can do if your wing gets fucked up." You were pretty impressed. "Nice." Evan commented. He looked at you for a minute, almost curious. "You're Y/N, right? The new kid?" You nodded. "Yep, that's me." You got to talking, and you could see what Evan meant when she said that Connor was a pretty cool person.

It turns out that the three of you share a lot of the same classes together, so that made some fun for the teacher that had you in their class. So over the next few months, the three of you ended up becoming very close friends. On the weekends, you would alternate who's house you'd hang out at, sometimes sleeping over.

Your mom had actually asked if you were in a polyamorous relationship with the two of them. "Mom!" "I'd support you nonetheless!" "Oh my God." Connor and Evan obviously found this hilarious, and now it was a running joke between you three. To make things clear, things were not always this happy.
