It had been a few weeks since the car crash, and you had almost hoped he was dead. "Y/N?" You heard a familiar voice call. Looking up, you saw your brother, Jared. He stood against the door frame, concern written all over his face. "What do you want." You snapped, wanting to sit in your room and cry. Alone.

After a few moments, Jared replied, "Listen, I know this is probably the last thing you want at the moment, but-" "But what." Your brother sighed. He knew how important Connor was to you, and that when he cheated, it destroyed you, and the car crash only made things worse. The thought that he might be dead, and all the things you had said, well-

It made you want to trade places with him.

"But I can drive you to the hospital, if you want to visit him." You looked up at him, knowing deep down you wanted to see Connor, even after he broke your heart. You nodded, and a small smile came to his face. The drive to the hospital seemed agonizingly long, and you ended up telling Jared about the whole fight.

"God, how could I be so stupid?" You asked yourself, staring up at the ceiling of the car. You felt tears sting at your eyes, just like they had this morning. "Y/N, you have every right to be mad at him. If you're lucky, he might wake up and apologize." You laughed slightly, knowing that he was only staying positive for your sake.

When you finally got to the hospital, your heart began to pound in your throat. Even though you wouldn't admit it, you missed him, and after these last few weeks, you still loved him. After getting lost in the different departments of the hospital, and getting ready to kill Jared if he made one more sex joke, you finally found the right wing of the hospital.

"Hello?" You asked, getting the nurse's attention. "Yes?" The man was tall, with a ponytail of dark curly hair. He had dark skin, and his nametag read, Nurse Lafayette. "Do you know what room Connor Murphy is in?" Nurse Lafayette smiled, and replied, "Are you his girlfriend?" You were shocked that he knew you.

Not wanting to mention the fight, so you said that you were. "Room 304, down the hall on the right." He pointed to the room, and you said a quick thank you before heading towards the room. Through the window, you saw Connor, wires and tubes attached to his body, making him look more like a robot than your... friend.

Jared squeezed your hand, making you realize that you were staring. You opened the door slowly, afraid to wake him. "Who are you kidding? You couldn't wake him up if you tried." Just the thought scared you to death. Walking in slowly, you noticed the bruise on his arm. You sat in the empty chair next to his bed, seeing a familiar frame in the corner of your eye.

It was the homecoming photo. You had given it to Connor for his birthday, and you were honestly suprised that he kept it. He had worn a white dress shirt and black pants. The fun part about you two was that his tie matched your dress. It was a bright red dress, knee length. Remembering that night brought a smile to your face.

"If you wanted, I can give you a minute, alone." Jared said, pulling you from the memory. "Thanks." You heard his footsteps fade down the hallway, as you stared at Connor. He looked peaceful in his sleep, but you knew the cause was anything but that.  "You know, your parents really miss you." Not sure what to say, you continued on the topic.

"Even Larry acknowledged your existance by saying he was pissed that you wrecked the car." You laughed slightly, remembering how angry he was. A smile came to your face, knowing that this was the only time that Connor could escape his father's wrath before he woke up. If he woke up, that is.

You talked to him for a while, telling him that Evan said hi, and that even Jared missed annoying the everloving shit out of him. You sighed, wishing that Connor could hear you. This had been on your mind ever since the fight, and you were hoping to share this with him after the fight, but you never got the chance.
