Chapter 18: Promises
*Amelia-Rose POV*
May 1st at 1:12 am baby number two was born with the name Jo Willow Starkey
May 1st at 1:23 am baby number three was born with the name Ellee Dawn Starkey
Two beautifully, perfect baby girls.
Ritchie liked the one syllable first names even though Ellee is two but we would call her El or Lee. We liked the different spelling of 'Ellie'.We also liked the nature middle names. We dressed them color coordinated. We brought a red outfit and a yellow outfit. We put the first born Jo, in the red then El in the yellow.
It was morning. I felt sore and tired. I just woke up from maybe a three hour nap until the nurses said I should get up and get moving. I took a walk with Ritchie as the nurses watched the babies. On our little walk around the hospital we saw john.
"Hey look who missed mummy!" John said with Luke in his arms.
We didn't tell the lads the gender of the twins yet. Since it was so late by the time I went into labor, we told them to go home get some rest and come in, in the morning if they wanted.
"Hey where is everyone?" I said as Ritchie grabbed Luke giving him a kiss on the cheeks.
"The lobby. So are you going to tell me what the twins are?!" John said anxious.
We walked into the lobby to see Pattie, George, Linda, Paul, Cynthia and Julian. They all stood up in excitement.
"So?!" They all yelled.
"I bet it's both." Pattie said to Cynthia anxiously waiting for me to answer.
"No it's two boys!" John yelled back.
"You're both wrong." Ritchie shouted.
"So it's two girls?!" George asked.
"Bingo." I smiled.
I gestured them to follow me to the room where our babies were.
"They're beautiful." Pattie said.
"What are their names?" George asked.
"The one in the red. That's Jo Willow Starkey." Ritchie responded.
"And the one in the yellow is Ellee Dawn Starkey."
"But were going to call her El or Lee." Ritchie finished off my sentenced.
"That's so unique. Those names are perfect." Linda said starring at them.
"Look Luke those are your baby sister." Paul said as he was holding Luke in his arms while he pointed to my two girls.
Luke had this big grin on his face. I felt as if my family was complete. But another part of me missed being pregnant already. And I think I might want another one... well in a few years I mean.
---------Afternoon of May 3rd---------
I was finally at my house with my two favorite boys and now my precious girls. The nursery was finally finished within the two days Ritchie hired the best to 'pinkify' the twins nursery and it looked perfect.
I set the girls down for the nap. Ritchie and I decided to put one black sock on one of the twins so we could tell them apart. We decided to put the black sock on Jo, the older twin. Other than that we color-code them one will always wear a different color than the other until a certain age you know when you can actually tell them apart.
They were identical. They both had big beautiful blue eyes just like there brother, father and mother. The also have this thick dark brown hair growing too. They were both so tiny too, much tinier than when Luke was born.
