The Premonition

Nineteen-(Criss's p.o.v.)

After we all got used to being back topside...we were all shocked at all the nothingness we saw...JD was happily reunited with his little girl that was now 14 years old...when Tommy explained how he found her during his traveling while hunting for his sister...she was alone and very scared...then when she told him that her family was in Las Vegas...and that's where his sister was...he sort of just tucked her under his wing...and made her his traveling partner. 

Tommy looked at his little sister and how she was reacting around Klayton and asked what all happened while we were locked underground for all that time...Klayton looked at him and said we all got married...Kim gave me a smile as I held her hand with Johnny moving over to his uncle Klayton wanting to be held...Klayton scooped him up and tossed him over his shoulder and tickled him...then gave a slight sigh and asked me what we were going to do now...beens the quake seemed to have leveled everything for hundreds of miles around us.

Tommy said not all buildings were leveled...then he pointed us all in the southern direction...I spun around and looked up...and sure enough Serenity was staring down at us...my home was unscathed by the quake...but she was the only building left standing...I helped everyone in Tommy's vehicle then told him comically to take us all home...Tommy looked at him and asked him if he knew who's house it was...I looked at him and told him that it was my home...then I gave a quick spin and said no it was all of our house. As Tommy was driving us to the house...Tommy asked Kc if she really married that red headed bad-ass...that seemed to have a real chip on his shoulder for him.

Kc snickered at her brother and told him not to worry about her Stoney...he was a good boy...then she ruffled his mohawk...he gave a slight growl at her...but she ignored him...as she kept rubbing...then told him that his warnings were like welcome signs to her...which made him chuckle...then she turned back to her brother and added that he just had to now how to handle him...Tommy chuckled and said that was OK...that he would let her do all the handling. We finally pulled up to the front gates as Kim, Johnny and I stood there as I gazed at the beauty of my home...thinking I would never see it again.

I opened the door and showed everyone into the house...Klayton knew where his room was and grabbed Kc and told everyone good night real quick...Johnny ran up to his room...wanting to play with his toys and have his bed back...he crawled in it and snuggled up under his covers...I was in the kitchen going thru the fridge trying to find a beer...when I heard my little man squealing...Sully and I rushed into the room only to see him clinging onto Hammie...he looked up at us and said dat Hammie surviveded!! I knelt down and rubbed my cat and told him he really was the most amazing cat...then I kissed him and my son on the forehead as he giggled and said nap time...so I turned off his light and told him night night.

Mom made her a much needed glass of tea...then headed to the room that she always stayed in when she visited...and said after her tea she was going to take a relaxing nap in a real bed...but first, she wanted to soak in the warm water of a bath...which Kc, Rachel, Kim, and Sandy all agreed to very quickly...but beens there was several bathrooms in my mansion we didn't have to take turns...Tommy stayed for a few days with us...but then said he was going out on the road again...Costa and his girlfriend wanted to go with him...because they were both restless staying in one place for so long.

The rest of us were so used to being together for so long...that we worked better as a family unit...instead of separating...Sandy and Sully tried leaving a couple times...but as soon as they made it to the road...they both turned tail and ran back to the group and said they'd rather stay with the family...and maybe later, they would get around to going on their own...which I didn't mind at all...I loved all my family and friends being with me...and so did Kim...she said it beat waiting forever just to have her girlfriends visit for a day or so...then wait for weeks or months until she saw them again...this way she had her friends there all the time.

I could tell though that Stoney was wanting to go back to his home but Kc wasn't secure about leaving the group either...so he stayed. Even though he wanted to start his own special life with her...she jumped in his lap and said she wasn't ready to leave the group just yet...but she did give him a smile and tell him that she would meet him halfway and spend a lot more time with him alone...as long as they both could come back to Serenity to sleep. He gave her a smile and agreed to it...for now.

JD and Rachel spent all their time together with his daughter Dimi...then out of the blue came running thru the house telling everyone that his lovely wife was pregnant!!! We all congratulated them...then had a celebration party for their great news...Klayton looked over at Kc with longing eyes...and I could tell my blood brother wanted a family of his own...I went over to him and told him with a tender slap on the back...not to worry that Kc would come around and give him what he wanted...that all he had to do was go up to her and ask her. Klayton looked at me and said it wasn't a good idea or the right time to ask her for that...I turned to face him and told him with mild humor that there was no time like the present to ask her to share and make a life and family with her. Stoney stood up and gave me a bold look and said I was right...and that it was time for him to belly up to the bar...and stop tiptoeing around it...and just tell her the truth about his feelings...then he slowly walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her and began to whisper in her ear.
