The bright light shot straight onto Geek's face as his eyes slowly opened. The immediate smell of rotten building materials and mold made Geek shrivel up his nose and cover it. Was it really morning already? It seemed like just few minutes ago he had just been trying to go asleep. What was the point of sleep if you couldn't enjoy it? Like, really though. While Geek thought about random questions about sleep, Wave and Dist were having a quiet conversation in the corner of the room. Wave was a little more serious than he normally would have been, but Dist was excited, and Geek could tell. Volt was sitting on the couch next to Tsunami, who still hadn't woken up. His body was sprawled across the couch and he wasn't moving. Volt had to sit at the edge of the couch and fight off Tsunami's large otter feet from kicking him in the face.
Geek sat up and blinked a few times, then rubbed them trying to get the glare from the light out of his view. He yawned, and stretched as everything started becoming a bit more lively. Wave walked over to Geek and sat next to him as Dist ran upstairs and started running around in excitement. Wave looked at Geek, who gave him a sleepy glance. Wave rolled his eyes and pointed upstairs where they could hear Dist running around. Geek gave Wave a puzzled look.
"I didn't want to live in a stinky old house like this, and we needed a headquarters, so I decided that we would discuss whether we wanted to turn this place into our headquarters with a lot of work," Wave said.
"That's nice. Well, when did you want to talk about it with everyone else?" Geek asked as he rubbed his eyes again.
"Right now if possible," Wave said as he looked over at Volt, who was still fighting off Tsunami's feet.
"Ok, well, how's about we wait until Tsunami is awake and I'm more alert ok?" Geek suggested as he yawned again.
"Tsunami isn't even apart of this team. Why do we need to talk to him about this?" Wave blurted out, half frustrated.
"Because he's apart of this expedition, and we need to all be on the same page, Explorer of Tomorrow or not," Geek explained.
"Fine," Wave said as he stood up and got some food from the Deposit Box.
Everything in the morning went smoothly, or at least what Geek considered smoothly for a first day. Volt finally had enough of Tsunami, so he electrocuted him and woke him up rather abruptly, and Wave was in a foul mood all morning, or at least until he ate some food. Geek was perfectly fine besides a little headache, but that was probably from everything they had just witnessed yesterday. It was all so much, so crazy, so fast, and so oddly coincidental.
Around breakfast Dist finally calmed down and made a more hearty morning meal, but things spiraled out of control really quick. Wave and Tsunami got into another heated argument, obviously not forgetting their rivalry from years before, and Volt just seemed out of it today. Dist seemed like the only normal one there, or at least what Geek considered his normal to be. Even Geek felt a little irritated, more than he should have usually been. It was around the time that Wave and Tsunami decided to get into an actual fist fight that Geek left. He needed some fresh air, and he wasn't getting it in a dirty old abandoned shack.
Geek could tell, this trip was already taking a toll on everyone. The long journey, the mission ahead, the strange warning given to them by Primal Kyogre, it was all just too much to take in. Geek walked along the pathways of the city in silence and loneliness. He needed some time to think, alone, and in a quiet area. But as the day progressed, more and more people started coming out and getting started with their day. Geek was on the other side of the city when he decided to head back. Maybe everyone had calmed down a bit since he had left.
As he was walking down a hidden street, he heard some footsteps behind him. Wanting to play it cool, Geek kept walking but tried listening for more footsteps. He heard more, and they were getting closer. Finally, Geek turned around and created a small aura sphere in his hand, ready to chuck it at anything he saw. Nothing. There was nothing behind him.
