Geek jumped over a boulder that a Graveler threw at him. As soon as he landed, Geek shot an Aura Sphere and one shot the bulky rock Pokemon. Volt stood not too far behind. All he had was Grass Knot, and even then it wasn't very helpful in these narrow halls. Geek was doing most of the fighting for now. They hadn't even gotten too far down, maybe about three floors when they reached a problem. There were dead ends everywhere. It was crazy with just that, and then with the wild Pokemon trying to push them out, it was just making it more difficult.

The two made their way down, down, and down, deeper and deeper they went into the dungeon, still not at their destination. Geek was getting worried. At this rate, they would be getting out in the dead of night, making things much harder for them. As they traveled deeper, everything slowly started changing. It started out with just subtle changes, it was getting lighter, there were occasional torches, and even a few other more civilized Pokemon who guarded the ruins. All of it seemed to remind Geek of the old days when they were exploring the ruins on their own island.

Finally, they reached it. It was a massive room, nearly three stories tall, and it was all made of marble and smoothed stones. There were images, carvings, and other ancient things on all of the walls, all of it telling a story. Thankfully, there was an elderly Pidgeotto who watched over the ruins and their writings. He helped Geek and Volt get to the higher places, but they didn't need him yet. They started all the way from the beginning.

The story began with peace. Then, a dark being, The Dark One, appearing. He caused chaos by spreading his influence over Pokemon and controlled them. Geek found an image of the Dark One. It was Wraith. They continued to read. The controlled Pokemon kidnapped over Pokemon, then drained them of their life energy and put them into an eternal sleep other than death. That energy would then fuel the Dark One and make him stronger. It was all the same. The same exact story as Geek and Volt. Almost too exact. The story continued to say how a legendary Pokemon created two weapons. Then, called upon two Pokemon and gave them the weapons by choice, and the two Pokemon battled Wraith and defeated him. It was exactly like Geek and Volt.

Then Geek remembered what Wraith had said. He had told Geek that they weren't the first ones to battle him, yet him and Volt were the only ones that were still in this world. Geek suddenly got a deep gut feeling. He felt sick to his stomach. This couldn't have been really happening could it? Geek pinched himself, just in case. Volt kept reading. The two Pokemon one day disappeared, nearly a day or two after they defeated the Dark One. So why hadn't Geek and Volt vanished? It was all so confusing.

Volt rode on Pidgeotto and kept reading. The story continued with how a few weeks later, the Shadow Pokemon appeared and how their terror reigned upon the Pokemon of this land. Geek got goosebumps. If Wraith had done this to this place, why hadn't he done it to them? What was really happening? Then Geek remembered the warning Kyogre gave them.

"Volt, does it say anything about an Eclipser?" Geek asked.

"I've been looking, but there's nothing..." Volt suddenly trailed off.

"Yes?" Geek prompted.

"Here. It says that three legendary Pokemon joined together and created a dark and light current. The Shadow Pokemon could not enter the land during the day, and had to hide in the shadows. However, the third legendary was overcome by evil and sought to shroud the world in darkness. This meant he would need to control his fellow Legendary Pokemon, but he was stopped and sealed away," Volt explained.

"So that dark crystal Pokemon, was this Eclipser? What would he want with Kyogre?" Geek wondered.

"Maybe the Eclipser is working with Wraith," Volt suggested.

"Yes, go on," Geek prodded.

"Well, if Wraith wants to get more energy, and the Legendary Pokemon are able to help eachother and stop him, why not knock out two birds with one stone? Maybe Wraith's strategy isn't to absorb the world anymore, maybe he wants to take it over," Volt laid it out.

Geek thought for a moment. That could be possible, but it wasn't very likely. Wraith didn't want to control the world, he wanted to destroy it. Controlling it would be too much strain on Wraith, so there had to be another plan. There must have been something else happening. They just needed to find out what. The two thanked Pidgeotto for his help and headed out. They reached the surface just before the sun fully vanished. They had to run down the path to get to the city on time.

The night was quiet. Geek felt uneasy, not knowing if Wraith would attack them in the night or not. It was unsettling to think that when they left, it was just to explore a new continent. The silence of sleep tried reaching Geek several times, but he pushed it away. The Treecko was still asleep, and everyone else was still asleep when Geek finally decided to get some rest himself. He needed it. He needed the time to think, just like the night before. Everything began turning dark as Geek slipped into a deep sleep, which he had been waiting for for so long.
