When we got back to my place no one talked about the talk me and Bethany had.As it was friendship day I took an off from work.

My head was pounding again because of my fall and it was getting worse minute after minute.

While everyone was having water fight in the lawn I went inside the kitchen and searched through cabinet for some pain killers.Finally when I got some I gulped a pill and went out to have fun with the gang.

As soon as I stepped on the wet grass a bucket full of ice cold water landed on my head and there after soaking me whole.

I looked back to see it was Sam who did it.I smirked at him when I saw a pipe near my leg I bent down, took it and immediately pressed soon the water started coming out.The water went straight on his face.

He looked taken aback and wasn't so quick to react.I felt someone spraying water on my side I turned a little to see it was Emerald so my pipe which was pointing towards Sam before was pointing towards Emerald after.

We went on playing and fighting with water for an hour or so and after that decided to go wash up.We all dispersed to our room,Sam went for the shower first while I waited for him.

While I waited for him unwanted thoughts of Bethany and her challenge consumed my mind.I was worried as no one was there to dance for the team except me.

Sam came out after sometime so I went in the loo with my clothes.As the shower ran I rested my head on the glass.My unwanted thoughts again consumed my mind.

Finally after one and a half hour of shower I stepped out,my head was still pounding.I carefully combed my hair and secured it in a bun.

I went out of the loo to see Sam sprawled on my bed on his stomach playing a game on his mobile phone."What are you still doing here?Aren't you supposed to be down helping Erina cook."I asked.

Since I didn't know how to cook anything other than pasta.Erina and Chris took the charge for today as they were the only people who knew how to cook and Sam and Emerald were to assist them but here he was sprawled on my bed playing game.

"Oh I went down there but got bored and then talked Austin into assisting them while I come to get you down.You take so much time to shower."He whinned.

"I was just consumed with some thoughts so I lost track of time."I said.

"I bet it was about Bethany's challenge."he said and my eyes widened in shock.How did he know?

"How did you know?"I asked.He just smirked at me but didn't answer my question.

I just shook my head at him and went to throw my clothes in the laundry basket."What's that?"he asked.

"What?"I asked him.

In a second he was in front of me and turned me around"That"He said.His hands went in my hair"Is this blood?"He asked.

I immediately pushed him away when I realised what he was talking about"It's nothing"I said.

"It is not nothing."How did he even get to know the wound is probably hidden because of my hairs."Your hair are all red"he continued.So this is how he knew.

"I told you it's nothing,Sam please."I pleaded I didn't want to Jake to know.

"It's not nothing.You're hurt."He shouted irritated."Let me help you."He said.

"Only on one condition."I said.

"What?"He asked.

"You won't tell about this to anyone."I said.

"Anyone or Jake?"He asked.

I looked away from him and changed the topic"Do you want to help me or not?"I said.

He sighed and took me to loo.He washed my hair in wash basin and gently dried my damp hair with a towel."How did this happened?"He asked frowning concern lacing his voice.

"I slipped in the morning."I said.

"'Why can't I tell Jake about this or the nightmares?"He asked.I stiffened for a second hearing about my nightmares.

"You can't tell because you saw last time what happened when he got to know about the pills.He will tell me to come and live with him,he's pushing onto the topic ever since we shifted three years ago."I said.

"He just wants to protect you."He stated the known.

"Yeah I know but I don't want to depend on him and neither do I want him to waste his time on me."I said.

"He's not wasting time,he looking out for you."He said.

"Listen to me I care for Jake I don't want him to get worried for me.I just want him to live his life and if he gets to know he'll tell Vic and Jo then they'll be worried too."I said trying to make him understand why he shouldn't tell anything to Jake.

"Okay I won't tell him."He said and lifted me up and made me sit on the counter there."Let me see"he said his hands still on my waist.He's so close to me.He stood between my legs and I bent my head a little so he could see the wound."I think we need to stitch it."He said.

He stitched the wound and cleaned it all the while when he was doing that I winced in pain.

Soon he was done and he stepped away.I hopped off the counter and looked at him his eyes were staring at me with something unknown in them."Thank you."I said and gave him a smile.

"Welcome.Let's go."He said.

As soon as we were downstairs Erina's voice boomed through out the living room"What the hell took you so long?"she said "and you" she said glaring at Sam"You're suppose to assist me in the kitchen."

"Well Austin did my job didn't he?"Sam asked.

"He did but you're suppose to do it."she said.

"Drop it guys"Em said coming in between."Time for dinner."

Soon Erina served dinner to everyone and we all ate it chit chatting around the table.Soon the dinner was over and it was time for gifts.

Everyone in the house exchanged gifts one by one.Erina got me a soccer ball,Emerald got me a brown leather jacket,,Austin got me a music CDs,Phil got me a wind chime,Evan got me a set of books and Chris got me a mug which had a photo of me.

Jake gave me a locket and when I had opened it,I had a photo of my mom and my brother Xander.I looked at him and hugged him tight.

Sam had gifted me a circular thing which had hangings"What's this?"I asked confused.

"I 'll tell you later on."He said.

"Where are your gifts Lice"Evan asked.

"After our dessert,I'll give it to you."I said.

"Alright let's cut the cake."Evan said.
