After talking to Al I joined Jake and sat with him on our table and made some light conversation while keeping my eyes on her the around us was still tensed Vic didn't say anything but just ran his hands through his hairs in frustration.

Over an hour later the reception was over and the couple left for their honeymoon.

Alexander looked like a mess and kept glancing at Al while Al sat at the bar ignoring everyone and drinking.

Same was with her mother who was trying hard not to burst into tears.

After the couple left all the guest started leaving I kept my eyes on Al who was still drinking.

"Sam"my dad called and I looked at Al before looking at him.

"Yeah?"I asked still glancing at her.

"Will you look away from your girlfriend and look at me for a minute?"he said irritated but I caught the playfulness in his voice.

"She's not my girlfriend."I said though it sounded good.

"Whatever you say."He said but the way he said that told me he didn't believe me."I came here to tell you that your mom and I are leaving and I hope you are not going to ditch us on New Year's eve."he said.

"Don't worry dad I'll be there."I said and glanced back where Al was sitting but I didn't see her there.

Where is she?She was sitting there just a minute ago.Where did she disappear.I glanced around the whole place but didn't see her anywhere and my worry only increased.

I walked away from dad without saying anything to him.I went to women's loo to check if she was there but all the stalls were empty and as I was going out a  woman entered and scrunched her nose at me I just ignored her and left from the loo to search for Jake when I finally spotted him and walked to him I found out that he was already looking for her.

"I've checked everywhere but I can't find her she must have left."I told him.

He nodded his head and went to find Vic and Jo while I went to entrance and told Vic's driver to get the car.

When Vic and Jo arrived Jo was panicked and Vic was furious I could see it in his eyes but more than fury, his eyes showed vulnerability and helplessness.

As soon as the chauffeur came with the car we climbed in and headed towards Vic's place.

When we were finally parked we all rushed towards Mr.Anderson's house to look for her but when we reached there one of the maids told us that neither Alice nor Mr.Anderson had arrived home.

So we decided to wait there for her thinking she would return but when she did not come after an hour Vic got impatient and called his investigator and told him to look for her.

We left Mr.Anderson's house soon after and whole night sat in Vic's living room explaining the gang what happened and waiting for the investigator's call.

When it was five in the morning Jo finally convinced us to go and rest for a while telling us that she will let us know if they get any information about her.

I tossed and turned in my bed but the sleep never came.Finally when I realized that I won't be able to sleep I got up and went to the kitchen to help myself with some coffee.

In the evening the investigator called and informed that Al booked a flight to New York so we all decided to cut our trip short and return to New York.

Vic and Jo decided to come with us and check on her themselves.

When we returned to New York,Jo convinced Vic to go to their mansion where Jake lives instead of going to gang house.She told him to leave her alone for sometime and let her absorb the news.

Vic however told her that he would only wait until next day.

Everyone thought that Jo was right and we should leave Al alone for a while but I had a very unsettling feeling and I wanted to be with her and from what I know about her I won't find Al in the gang house.

Despite my gut feeling about her not being there at the gang house,I went there and banged the door when I got no response I took my keys and went inside I found no one there.

I decided to not tell anyone that I checked the house.The next day when Vic,Jo and Jake went there  and couldn't find her.Vic got very angry and impatient.H e called the investigator and barked the orders to find Al's exact location.

After that I went to every place I thought she could go to but I found her no where.

Few days went by my new year went bad.All I could think was where is she?How is she?

When I was eating dinner with my family on the new year's eve my dad mentioned something about buying a house.

It suddenly clicked that Al was talking about buying a penthouse.She even told me that she liked two and she had to finalize one of them.

I could faintly remember the name of the building.I got up from my place and told my mom and dad that I had to go I heard my mom calling from behind me but I ignored her and went out with my car keys.

I quickly searched for the two names which I remembered and went there.

When I reached the first building and asked the receptionist about Alice she told me that there was no one with that name in the building.

I went to the other building and asked for Alice there and the receptionist told me that she is on the fifty third floor.

I quickly went to the elevator and waited for it to come down.When it finally came down I rushed in and pressed fifty three when I reached there I rang the bell beside  her door and waited for her to open the door.
