Alice

Sunday went by quickly with me completing my shifts at library,going to Racer's for some races and completing homework.

I was walking through crowd of people to my locker for some clothes to change in,my sports attire was wet from my sweat.

Today when I woke up from yet another nightmare it was quiet early in the morning so I decided to go for some early practice and practiced for an hour and a half.

I finally reached my locker and started digging in through the binders and textbooks when I felt a tap on my shoulder I turned my head a little so I could see the person I got a glimpse Blake and turned back to what I was doing thinking he'll go away but I was wrong.

He started poking my shoulder which did nothing but raise my irritation when I finally got my hands on my clothes I turned around with my usual cold look and glared at him."What the hell do you want?!"I barely restrained myself from shouting.

"I saw you so thought I'd say hello."He said casually.

"Hi"I said and turned to leave but he grabbed my wrist.

"Hey wait!I just want to be friends with you.Please don't go."He requested.

"And may I know why out of all people in the school you chose to be friends with me?"I asked.

"Well you're the first person my eyes landed on when I entered the class and you seemed quite genuine."He said.

"Fine."I huffed in defeat.

"You mean you'll be friends with me?"He asked,his eyes lit u a little with hope.

"Yes."I said and hearing that his whole face lit up.

"Friends!"He stated forwarding his hands for me to shake.

"Friends."I said and shook his hand.

"We've our first class together right?"He asked

"Right"I said.

"So let's go."

"umm....I've to go shower before going to class."I said and Blake looked at me from top to bottom and he realised that I needed a shower.

Just then I saw Samuel coming my way.He was at the end of the corridor so I think it would take him sometime to reach us before that I can go away.I knew he'd questions which I was in no mood to answer.So for the rest of the day I've to keep ignoring me.

"It's okay I'll wait here besides there are still twenty minutes before the class starts."He said.

"Okay."I said and turned to walk away to the loo.

When I reached there I took a quick shower and dressed up.I took my sweaty clothes and dumped them in a paper bag which I'd got with me and walked out towards my locker.

When I reached my locker I saw Sam,Jake,Erina,Austin and Blake standing there chatting.I looked at them and went over to my locker to take my binder and text books and keep the paper bag in there.

I walked over to the little circle they had made and stood beside Jake who gave me a hundred volt smile.His hand went around my shoulder and he leaned in to whisper what I knew he would"You know one smile from you and it would make my day."He said.

At hearing that my mind went back to mine and Sam's conversation the other day.My heart skipped a beat thinking about him and my eyes immediately went to Sam who was standing just beside Jake who by the look of his face heard Jake.

I quickly looked away from him not wanting to stare in his eyes for a long time.

"Yo guys"Evan and Chris said in unison before coming and making our little circle bigger.

"Where is Emerald?"Jake asked.

"Here."Em said and our head whipped towards the direction to where he was standing.He came towards us and joined the circle."Were you missing me so much Jacky that you couldn't help but ask about me."Em said smirking.

"You wish."Jake said.

"So its friendships day this Friday did you all by the gifts?"Erina piped in.

"Shit."Jake cursed besides me to which everyone chuckled.

"Gifts?"Sam asked.

"Yes gifts.We celebrate friendships day every year,we spend the whole day together and have a lot of fun after our dinner each member has to give each member a gift."Evan explained.

"And since you're the part of the gang now you've to get us gifts too."Erina said.

"Oh god I don't know what to bring you all."Austin said.

"Me too."Phil said joining the group.

"I'm going to shopping today for buying the gifts and I know exactly what to buy you all."Erina said.

"I too prepared a list yesterday."Em said.

"Urgh.I don't know what to get you Alice yesterday I'd spend whole day roaming around the mall to get gifts i got perfect gifts for everyone but I don't know what to get you."Evan said.

"You don't have to buy me a gift it isn't necessary."I said.

"Nonsense it's the tradition of our gang and we all have to follow it."Evan said.

"By the way did you bought our gifts?"Phil asked.

"Yes"I said.

"You should have atleast reminded me to get the gifts Jake said to me and I just shook my head at him.

"By the way who is this cute guy standing beside you?"Erina asked and I could see Austin's eyes getting hard and his fist clenching who was just standing beside her.

I looked at Blake standing there smiling at our gang.

"He's Blake,my friend."I said and everybody's eyes bulged out of there sockets as they stared at me dumbfounded.

"You started making friends?"Chris asked recovering from the shock and I saw amusement flickering in Blake's eyes.

"Yes?"I asked.

"Wow that's amazing Alice is finally making friends.We'll celebrate after school my treat."Jake said to which I just rolled my eyes though it was true that I hadn't made a single friend after the gang.

"No way are you treating anyone remember you've got a soccer practice."I said to which everyone groaned.

"Lice we love soccer but by the way you're making us practice I'm sure by the end of the year everyone will hate it."Phil said.

"I don't care I want the cup and I'm going to make you work your asses off for that."I said.

"Come on let them off the hook for once."Erina said.

"No way.No compromises with my game."I said and the bell rang.
