Foolish Heart-Steve Perry '84
As the blonde made her way to Lena's she didn't even care that she cut the rest of the school day for she needed to talk to Lena and she needed to talk to her bad. Sure she would deal with the consequences later of cutting class but she didn't really give a crap and Lena had no idea how persistent the blonde was. Or course she was wondering if she might scare the poor girl off even more but she knew there was some reason why she was avoiding her and skipped school herself. No way was Lena sick, hell no. Thinking to herself that even if Lena said the kiss was a mistake at least Stef would know. At least she would know the truth even if that truth would kill her and kill her real fuckin' bad. They had an amazing two months together and she wanted many more months like that with her. In all honestly she wanted Lena to be her girlfriend even if they couldn't tell anyone and had to keep it a secret. But if she didn't want it then well, she would just have to deal and it would suck. It would suck big time.
Coming up to Tess' house just as she had so many times before her stomach was flipping around. Something it never really did for she didn't get nervous much. Only Lena made her this nervous and anxious. Not in a bad way but the curly haired teen brought out feelings and emotions the blonde wasn't use too.
Adjusting her backpack she could see there was no car in the driveway and was hoping Lena was awake as she carried a cup of chicken soup in her hand incase she really was sick. Ringing the bell and feeling the nerves creep back up in her teenage body she let out a sigh as she waited a few seconds soon ringing the bell once again. Maybe Lena saw it was her and pretended to be asleep avoiding her once again. Letting out a frustrated sigh as she was about to walk away the door suddenly opened and the curly hair teen stood on the other side of it a nervous wreck. Walking back up to the door and seeing the shyness and embarrassment grow on her friends face Stef could only let out a small smile for she had missed Lena so much the passed three days that it was freaking killing her.
"Hey Len. I um heard you were sick so I brought you soup." Standing awkwardly outside the house she handed the cute teen the cup of soup as Lena could only smile back herself but unsure of what to really say. Her shyness was in full form and she felt bad for avoiding her the past few days. But she just didn't know what to do and was feeling beyond conflicted.
"Oh. Thanks. That was really nice of you."
"Sure. Um how are you feeling? Do you need anything?"
"No I'm ok. Feeling better then this morning."
"MM that's good."
"But what are you doing here? School is not out."
"Yeah I know but I wanted to make sure you were ok. Look um, can we talk. Please?"
Letting out a quiet sigh and looking into the blondes intense eyes she nodded her head letting Stef inside the home. Closing the door behind her the two teens walked to the living room couch were Lena had her books and blanket set up as they soon took a seat beside each other and Lena put the soup down. She had to admit part of her knew Stef would show up but she didn't think she would cut class or bring her anything. Or maybe she did know it. As she glanced to the blonde who was playing with her fingers and the hole in her ripped jeans Stef looked to her and smiled once again. She had rehearsed the conversation in her head on the way over but now it was totally leaving her mind. Shit all she wanted to do was kiss Lena again even if that was what got them to this awkward position in the first place.
"Look Len I didn't mean to spook you out or creep you. And I'm really not some weirdo if that's what you think."
"I don't think that about you Stef. Not at all."
