"So you and Lena have become good friends babygirl?" My mother asked as I was helping her clean up from dinner. It was one of the rare nights that Lena wasn't over and shit did I miss her. But we couldn't always make it too obvious and I wanted to make sure my baby kept her grades up. Lena was smart, and she had big dreams and just because we were together didn't mean I wanted her to stop doing what she was doing just to spend time with me. We made time and we had plenty of it this weekend to hang during when I couldn't wait to lay her down on her back again and lick and kiss her all over. Being it was our first time with anyone and I never even imagined who I would loose my virginity too whatever the fuck that meant I damm sure didn't think it would happen like that. Thankfully I didn't fuck it up and hurt her for if anything I made her feel good judging by the way she was shaking and moaning underneath me. Next time I planned on doing more if she allowed it and I would damm sure would lick her pussy. Never having licked one before I'd just wing it and hopefully know what I was doing. "Yeah ma." I said coming out of my mind as my mother handed me another dish.

"That's nice. She's a sweet girl but so shy. Must be hard being away from her mother?"

"Yeah sucks. But she deals ma."

"Oh I'm sure she does she seems like it and I'm glad she has you as a friend baby. But you barely hang out with Mike anymore."

"Ah he's busy." I lied for I was avoiding him like the fucking plague because I had a feeling he was going to ask me any day to the dam prom . Knowing I would have to face him sooner or later it was getting weirder in gym and when we played ball thanks to pain in the ass Tess and her big ass meddling mouth. That girl was going to drive me crazy if she didn't stop sticking her nose in my shit and upsetting Lena. Sooner or later I'd have to tell her off and she would just have to deal with it.

"Oh well he's such a nice guy I thought you would go to prom with him babygirl."

"Huh?"

"Prom. I thought you and Mike might go."

"Definitely not and I'm not even going to that stupid dance.It's shit ma and I'm not wearing some puffy pink thing. No way in hell I wouldn't be caught dead in it."

"Oh baby I wish you would watch your mouth it's just terrible and you are much too beautiful to talk like such a sailor. Now  I know you and Tess are  not talking which if I am honest I am happy about, but maybe Lena and you can go. You can go with Mike and I'm sure someone would love to go with Lena. She is a beautiful girl."

"Neither of us are going." I said rolling my eyes at the mere thought of Lena going to prom with some guy. And there was just no way I could ever go with someone besides Lena. No one so the both of us had decided not to go at all and we would just hang out. 

"Well why not?  I thought we could go shopping for it baby and get your nails and hair done. Goodness put a little makeup on. Do you know how beautiful you would look?" Looking into my eyes as my father soon came in taking a beer from the fridge I let out a loud sigh. Hair, nails and makeup done? No fucking way for I was fine in my tee's and jeans.

"I'm not into dresses and the rest sounds like crap."

"Oh baby but the shopping would be so fun. You might actually enjoy it."

"Shopping for what?" My father asked.

"For prom. Don't you want to come Frank?"

"Sharon, Stef doesn't want to go to some prom. Even I know that." He laughed.

"Well of course she does she just feels funny about it. But it's a once in a lifetime thing babygirl."

"I'm not going ma. So forget it. It's shit."

"I don't know how many times I can tell you about your language and smoking which I do smell on you. Frank maybe you can get through to her because no matter what I say she does the opposite."

"Sharon she doesn't wanna go don't force her. Let her be. And Stef watch your mouth ok honey?"

"Yeah. Are we done?"

"Yes but think about it honey. I'm sure Mike would love to go with you. It would be nice for you I mean you and Lena can't do everything together honey people might start to get the wrong idea."

"What idea? We are friends ma."

"Well baby sometimes people talk and...

"And what? What is the problem?" I asked growing angry and defensive. 

"I just think you both should maybe expand. You know so you're not always attached to each other."

"First you complain about Tess saying you don't like her now I can't spend time with Lena?! Like what the hell ma? Lena is my best friend and the best thing that ever happened to me so if you don't like it you can shove it!" Slamming the dish towel down I could hear my parents yelling after me as I slammed the back door. Screw that! I was gonna do whatever I fucking wanted no matter what I thought as I kicked the wall of the house and lit a cigarette. But what in the hell was my mother getting at? Did she freakin know? Did Lena and I fuck up?  She couldn't know because if she did or if my father did life would never be the same for I had promised her. I had promised Lena her secret was safe with me and I would do anything and everything I needed to protect her. Always and forever.
