LENA POV

"What has gotten into you young lady! I don't understand!" My mother said yelling at me as my day had gone from bad to worse. Thinking I still had a few days until she arrived she had surprised me showing up that night and was furious learning of my suspension.  "Answer me! Smoking, and smoking pot, fights, getting suspended."

"Mom they started it! They...

"They should not have known! What did I tell you Lena. I told you to keep your head down. I told you to just blend in with crowd. Do you really want what happened in Ohio to happen here?!

"No I just...

"Well it is! Your aunt and uncle have done alot taking you in and this is how you repay them? By causing trouble? I have no idea what to even do with you. Maybe send you to catholic school or boarding school. But you can not stay here."

"Why! I love it here! I'm not leaving Stef!"

"Oh I have heard all about Miss Stef! And let me tell you from what I have heard she is no good. No good at all and she got you in this mess!"

"No she didn't mom! She didn't get me in any mess and she's amazing. She's amazing and I, I love her!"

"Love? Oh child you don't even know what love is! You have no idea what love is at all much less with a girl your own age who is just as confused as you are. When are you going to understand Lena that you can't do this. That you can't go around telling people you like girls. You can't! Do you know how hard your life is going to be? Do you know how hard it will be for you to find a job, to get into a college. Do you? I'm only trying to protect you from someone hurting."

"I'm tired of hiding mom. I'm so sick of it and I won't do it anymore. Stef understands me and I want to be with her!"

"Goodness child you have no idea. Neither of you do! I'm sorry but that is not going to happen.  It won't and you are going back to Ohio I already found a school for you. It's a private one."

"No way! NO! I'm not going! I'm not!" I said running to the bedroom as my mother followed behind me and I grabbed my bag.

"You don't tell me what you are and aren't doing! I tell you Lena and as your mother you will do what I say and I am taking you out of that school and out of here!" She yelled as I stuffed things in my backpack.

"I'm tired of running because you can't handle who I am. I can deal with the kids at school, Stef and I can but what I can't deal with is you making me hide! I can't and I won't anymore and I'm not! I'm not going to Ohio and daddy would never make me do this! Ever."

"Don't you dare bring your father into this. Don't you dare!"

"Why! He always accepted me! He knew!" I said tears falling from my eyes.

"I have had it up to here with you miss! We are done talking about this! We are done! I have made the choice and you are a little girl and you get no choice in this. None! Now you stay put in here and when your aunt and uncle and Tess get home you are to apologize!"

"There is no way I'm apologizing! No way especially not to Tess. She's been nothing but a bitch to me mom! No way and she spread horrible rumors about me and Stef!"

"Lena you apologize to them like I told you! I'm tired of your back talking! It is out of line! You are out of control and it stops now! It stops right now. All you have done since moving here is pick up bad habits from that girl!"

Screaming at me I was so angry at this point I was more angry then I ever had been in my life as I rushed passed her so quick she had no idea and tried to grab me.

"Where are you going! You get back her right now! Right this second! Don't you dare walk out that front door young lady! I told you that Stef is off limits!"

"Stef is my girlfriend and I love her! And I'm done with you mom. I'm 16 and I don't need your permission to live my life! Ever!" I yelled back at her as I ran out the door and she screamed behind me. But I refused to look back as I made my way to Mike's garage so that we could pick up Stef for going to her house was much to obvious. I was fed up, I was and there was no way I was going back to Ohio and leaving the only person I loved more then anything.  Yes I was scared, yes I was terrified but I would get over it soon enough.

STEF POV

"I'll bring your car back I fucking promise Mike." I said to him as he dropped us at the beach for plans had changed. Lena and I had no idea her mom would show up tonight none at all and she rushed out so fast that we needed to bail fucking quick. Leaving a note for my parents was the only option I had and I knew I didn't have much time before my father put a trail on us. We had already come up with a story that Mike planned to stick with too hoping it would work.

"Don't worry about it Stef. Just please be fucking careful and try to call me when you can."

"I will I promise Mike." I smiled as he stood in front of me looking more worried then I had ever seen him before. "Look take this."

Looking down I saw a wad of cash and I refused to take it looking to Lena who sat in the passenger side of the car.

"No you already gave me money Mike. It's enough I don't want it."

"Well fucking take more. I'll feel better if you do and I'll be able to sleep. Honest even if you don't use it just have it on you."

"I don't want it Mike."

"Then I won't let you use the car."

"Are you fucking serious?"

"Yes now take it and stop being so damm stubborn Stef. Shit."

"Fine moron. But I promise to pay you back. I promise Mike. I swear it." I said stuffing it in my jean pocket.

"Don't worry just be careful and let me know where you end up. How far do you think you're going?"

"Not sure yet I have some ideas but not sure. Look thanks for everything."

"Your welcome. Just be careful." Looking worried at me  I ran to jump in the drivers side of the car but quickly ran back to him. Softly I kissed him on the lips as he froze a bit and I pulled away winking at him as he looked shocked. "Don't ever say I haven't done anything for you!"

"Yeah...umm yeah." he blushed as I smiled wide squeezing his hand and walking back to the drivers side getting in.

"Ready baby?" I asked Lena as she smiled at me nodding her head as we took off waving bye to Mike and leaving it all behind. We could only fucking hope to come up with something for being apart was no choice and we would do whatever we needed.

Yes impulsive teenagers! I feel like Stef's parents would have been supportive since her father already really knows but Lena's  mom really gave them no choice? I wonder how far they will get!
