These Dreams

At All Costs

LENA POV

"So we'll meet at the beach babe and go from there on Sunday night. That will give us enough time to get out before anyone notices and before your mother comes." Stef whispered to me as we stood by her locker as 8th period let out that friday.

"But where did you get a car and money?" I whispered back as she placed another book inside.

"Don't stress that baby just know that I got it and no one is ever gonna separate us. I promise."

Smiling softly at me I could feel my stomach turning for it was really happening. Yes I wanted to go but of course I was worried. I was worried about the whole entire thing and how far we would get and if our parents would catch us. What if it turned into a disaster? What if something happened to us and I still didn't know where Stef got a car and money as I swallowed hard looking to the ground. Feeling her slide her hand into mine she softly squeezed it as I was also feeling bad for putting all this onto her for she had enough going on.

"Whats wrong Len? Mm babe?"

"I"m just worried. I know it was my idea but I guess I'm a little scared."

"I know you are baby. And it's ok to be but I'll take care of us and figure it out. Just leave it to me."

"You're dads a cop you're not worried about him finding us?"

"Well not really. I'll leave a note telling them not to worry."

Letting out a sigh I looked to the ground once again.

"Len if you don't wanna go I won't force you. I just, I don't want to loose you. Ever and I don't want your mom to take you back to Ohio and risking us really never seeing each other again."

"I know and I'm  sorry I'm so nervous. I do want to go. I just...I worry. I don't want to take you away from you're family and mess up your life Stef. You have dreams too."

"You aren't Len. I freakin promise you aren't. I want to be with you and that is one of my dreams. I mean do you want to be with me?"

"Yes of course. More then anything in this world."

"Ok. Then pack as little as possible and we'll go. Ok? It doesn't have to be forever maybe until your mother and mine get it. But I'm not letting anyone seperate us. I promise to take care of you." Smiling softly at me she squeezed my hand even tigher as someone soon threw a crumpled up paper at me hitting me in the head.

"Fags!"  They yelled laughing as another paper hit me along with a heavy notebook as I turned to see who it was and before I could even process it Stef had tackled Eddie to the ground.

"Stef it's ok!" I yelled trying to get her to stop as her and Eddie were really going at it but she was not letting up as she had him in a headlock and he couldn't seem to wiggle out.

"Apologize to her now! Fucking apologize!!"

"Fuck you faggot! No way am I apologizing to a carpet muncher." Eddie laughed as Stef tighened her grip even more. How she had such a hold on him this big giant football player I didnt even know but I wanted her to stop as they both managed to get up and she slammed him against the locker and he was now trying to fight back and the school was chanting.

"Stef stop it's ok! Please let's just go! It's not worth it!"

I begged but she wasn't hearing any of it.

"You fucking apologize now to her! Apologize mother fucker!!!"

"Fuck you dyke!!" He yelled as she kicked him in the balls.

"You bitch!"

"I said apologize!" She yelled again slamming him back up against the locker but he had somehow flipped her on her back and kicked her in her ribs as I grew so angry and instantly saw red.

"You leave her alone! You asshole!" I yelled never having been in a fight in my life as I jumped on his back hitting and punching him with all I had. Soon feeling myself fall to the ground I saw Mike slam him against the locker as Stef ran to me.

"You ok?" She asked as her mouth was bleeding and her face was so worried but angry at the same time as she pulled me up.

"Yes. Are....

Before I could finish I saw her get back up as Mike pinned Eddie to the locker.

"What the fuck is wrong with you you don't hit a woman asshole!"Mike yelled. "You don't!!!"

"They aren't real women and what's it to you faggot lover!" Eddie laughed along with the rest of his friends as Stef kicked him in the legs again and stomach as Mike held him against the locker.

"Piece of shit!" She yelled spitting in his face.

"Watch your back Cooper you fucking cunt!"

"You threatening her Bayfield?! Mike said slamming him against the locker again. "You watch your fucking back because if you touch her it's like touching me and we don't want that!"

"Fucking faggot lover!" Eddie said once again as Mike hit him in the stomach.

"You call her those names again and I'll break both your legs." He said pulling away as Stef now slammed him against the locker again herself with an even tighter hold then before.

"You mess with Lena again and I'll break both your arms. You can try to knock me down as much as you want but you and no one else will ever fuck with her ever. Touch her again or look at her again and I'll snap your neck. It's no skin off my back shitface."

"Break it up! Break it up now! Foster in my office now! Cooper in my office, Backfield and Adams! Now!" Principal shit face yelled as Stef walked over to me her mouth bleeding even more. It was then I realized just how far she would really go for me and it seemed I would go just as far for her no matter what.  The love and commitment we had was strong as I held her hand so tight never letting go. We both knew this would lead to more trouble for us as I glanced to my cousin who looked horrified.
