Castiel woke up early and got the car ready. He brought the cats out and put them in kennels for the ride. He put them in the back seat and rolled all the windows down. He went back in and packed for himself and Dean. He figured Sam would pack for himself. He was a grown man after all. Dean finished packing and brought out the bags, shoving them in the trunk. As he started to put them in the trunk he saw a plastic bag. Loves truck stop. The bag read. He opened it and looked inside. He saw a black sweatshirt that was from Arizona. He assumed Dean wanted to surprise him with it but forgot due to his mental state. Once Cas had packed everything and he saw Sam finishing up putting his things in the car, Cas grabbed the cake he made and put it in a container. He put it in the trunk behind all the bags so Dean wouldn't see it. Castiel went back inside and woke Dean by carrying him out to the impala. Castiel put Dean in the front seat of the impala and Sam hopped in the back with the cat kennels. Castiel quickly went and checked all the doors and windows making sure they were locked. Once he was sure everything was in order, he left and locked the last door behind him and shut the garage door. Then Castiel started up Baby and they were on their way to the devils punch bowl in Oregon.
Dean woke up and looked around him. Since when was he in a car? And since when were there meowing cats in the back seat? What the hell was going on? He looked out the window. It was about midday. They were on interstate 5 around Sacramento. Where the hell was he going? He looked to his left for the first time and noticed Castiel was driving.
"Cassy baby, where are we going?" Dean asked very sleepily, having just woken up.
"We are going to a fancy restaurant in Oregon. It's a while away though so I figured we'd stay in a motel and bring the cats and Sammy." Castiel convincingly lied.
"Oh Sammys here?"
"Uh yeah Dean." Came a voice from right behind him.
"Heya Sammy."
"Heya Dean."
"Bitch."
"Jerk."
"Why are you calling each other names? I thought you loved each other?" Castiel said, quite confused.
"Cassy baby we're just joking around. It's our thing." Dean told his angel that took everything way too literal.
"Oh."
Dean fell back asleep so Cas decided he should talk to Sammy a bit. He barely knew him and he was living in his house. Best a time as any he figured.
"Hey Sammy, what was Dean like? I mean before he was dying. Before I met him." Castiel said tearing up.
"Um he was always so bright and he'd smile through anything. I would have swore he had a perfect life at home if it wasn't my home too. I mean, you would never guess he lived with a drunk man who was unrelated to us. You would never guess that he had no parents. You would think he had a white picket fence and his life already laid out for him with all the money in the world. Cas, he was always happy. He would get 5 hours of sleep a night and live off of that. His 19 hours awake would be spent making sure I was okay, working on cars, or hitting on every living thing within a 1 mile radius. He used to be a player before college. He always saved money for my college thinking I never realized. He would not eat for days if it meant working through his breaks at the garage to earn more money for me. He cared so much. He was so sharp at all times. He's so smart he just won't let anyone see it. This car, used to be our Dad's. It was everything to Dad and then after Dad passed it was everything to Dean. And soon, it'll be everything to one of us. I wish it wouldn't end soon. But it will. And it hurts. What about you Cas? What do you think you were like, before Dean?" Sam responded, talking for a few minutes to satisfy Cas.
"I was a nerd who got bullied since 5th grade for being gay. I've always lived by myself. Michael would sometimes come down from heaven and take care of me but-"
"Wait, Michael as in the arch angel Michael?"
"Yes."
"So you are an angel as well?"
"Yes I thought you knew this."
"If you're an angel, then why can't you heal my brother?"
"Because I came out to my family after meeting Dean. And he banished me and took my grace. I'm human. Now, anyways."
"You came out to God?"
"Yes and he made me human and made Dean, well, that."
"You're telling me Deans cancer is your fault?"
"I don't see it like that but technically yes."
"SO YOU'RE THE ONE WHO FUCKED EVERYTHING UP? I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST NATURAL CAUSES BUT THIS IS ALL YOU? DISGUSTING. YOU ARE DISGUSTING CASTIEL. HE DESERVES BETTER THAN YOU."
"Sam I didn't ask to fall in love with Dean. You're the one who helped us meet. It's not your fault. I know it's all mine. But there's nothing I can do."
Dean woke up to hearing his brother screaming at Cas. He pretended he was still asleep so he wouldn't make Sam feel bad about waking him. Dean didn't like that Sam was blaming Cas. It was all Deans fault anyways. He was the one who wouldn't accept the treatment. And he was the one who loved Cas. Who just happened to be an angel. Dean fell back asleep soon after Sams yelling.
Castiel was bawling. Thank anyone but God they were almost to Otter Rock. They'd be at their motel soon. Castiel just wanted Sam to be close to him after Dean passed. He wanted to help Sam through it. He needed Sam to help him through it. Sam couldn't stay this angry could he?
Castiel pulled into the motel parking lot and checked them in. Two queens for once. Thankfully, the motel allowed pets. Castiel carried in their bags and the cats. Castiel woke Dean slowly and carried him to the bed closest to the bathroom and closed the motel door, deadlocking it. Cas helped Dean undress to his boxers. He did the same and hopped in bed with Dean.
Dean was exhausted despite having slept all day. He said goodnight to Sam and Cas. He got up to grab Ellie and Angel to cuddle with him and Cas. Their litter box and food and water were in the bathroom so he didn't worry about shutting the door. He needed it open for the cats. He turned over holding Cassy in his arms and went to sleep.
Sam was fuming. How dare Cas fuck up his and his brothers life so fucking bad? And not even feel guilty? Sam thought Cas was a good guy. Clearly that was not the case. Castiel was killing Dean. It was all Castiels fault. Everything was Castiels fault. Sam fell asleep angry knowing his brother and that abomination would be married tomorrow.

(A/N)

Not quite sure where I'm going with the angry Sammy plot there. But I'll figure it out. I like this chapter. Idk how weddings work so the next chapter will be a train wreck aye.
