September 23rd, 2016

Sam woke up alone in his bed to his alarm at 8:00am. He quickly threw on sweat pants and a sweatshirt. He was gonna be in the car for a while and Dean was completely incapable of keeping the windows rolled up on the road. Sam threw all his stuff in his duffel bag, also taking the tiny shampoos and conditioners with him. He finished packing and threw his duffel by the door. Sam opened Dean and Cassys room. Aww they're so cute. Sam thought before he decided to body slam them.
"Ah Sammy what the fresh fuck?" Dean said, still half asleep.
"Yeah Sam what the actual fuck are you doing?" Castiel repeated.
"Well I wanted to get going so I was waking you up." Sam answered.
"There are a million ways you could have woken us up besides jumping on top of us." Dean told him.
"Well yeah but how many of those are as fun as jumping on you?"
"You got a point there Sammy."
Dean emerged from the comforter and threw on a band tee and jeans. He threw all his stuff messily inside of his duffel. He pulled out his thickest flannel and threw it on before zipping up his bag. Dean also packed Castiels phone and charger in his bag so he would hopefully ride with him in the impala. Dean put his duffel next to Sams because he didn't want to go out to the car quite yet. Dean decided to copy Sams idea and jump into Castiel.
"Dean can you kindly get the FUCK off me?" Castiel asked, acting polite.
"Well if you get out of bed then yes." Dean teased.
"Fine get off me."
Castiel got up and put on his pants and shirt. He tied his tie wrong and Dean fixed for him. Castiel put on his trench coat, immediately checking the pockets. Where's my phone?
"Hey Dean have you seen my phone?" Castiel asked.
"Maybe." Dean half lied.
"Give me it."
"I will if you ride in the impala with me instead of flying."
"Fine just give me my phone."
Dean went back to his duffel and grabbed Cassys phone. He handed it over and quickly put enochian handcuffs on Cas.
"Dean what the hell? Where'd you even get these?" Castiel wondered.
"Courtesy of Gabriel. You are powerless therefore no flying, therefore you need to ride in the impala." Dean explained.
"I was gonna go anyways Dean take these off."
"Hmmm maybe later."
"Dean. NOW."
"Alright, alright they're off, happy?"
"Quite. Now let's get going."
Dean carried the bags as the trio walked down the hall. Dean glanced back just in time to see Castiel run into a wall because of all his attention being on his phone. Dean chuckled and pretended he didn't just see that. They entered the elevator and went down to the casino/lobby. They walked out and walked around to the impala. Dean threw their bags in the trunk and watched as Sam got in the back and Cas got in the front. Good thing Sammy knew to take the back because Dean didn't want to argue right then.
Castiel listened intently as the car started and the tires screeched out of the parking lot. He hated how reckless Dean was when driving but he didn't really care anymore since he could fix Dean and Sam if they were to crash. Castiel just stared out the window and reached over to Dean across the middle seat of the impala. Castiel felt Dean grasp his hand back and he smiled as Dean sang along terribly to some loud Metallica song. Castiel was so content and so glad his life was back together. Everything was perfect.
Sam watched as Cas grabbed Deans hand and smiled to himself. He'd never seen Dean this happy except for when they snuck out to light fireworks in a field on one Fourth of July back in the 1990's. Sam missed those times but it seemed like those days were coming back. The only way this family could get more complete was if Dean and Cas decided they needed kids. But Dean had always complained about how children were annoying and they never stopped crying. Sam knew that Deans children were just his cats and whatever animals he decided to adopt later on in life.
Dean pulled into a truck stop when they were about halfway home. He had always appreciated the loving atmosphere of truck stops meanwhile gas stations just had annoyed teenagers working the registers and shitty microwaved food. He parked next to a gas tank and filled his tank. Dean had been running on empty for the past few dozen miles. Luckily his car had been used to that for a while. He grabbed Cas and Sam out of the car to go into the truck stop since he didn't know if they had been to one before. Dean walked in and looked at everything for way too long. He probably spent two hours there eventually leaving with a few bags of stuff he didn't really need like a Semi truck replica or the so called drug rug sweatshirt. He had also bought Sam a drug rug. He bought Cas a red batman villain sweatshirt since he knew Cas wouldn't be caught dead in a drug rug. Dean then left and went back to the car where Sam and Cas had left to because Dean was taking forever. Dean started up his baby and screeched back onto the highway.
"TAKIN EVERYTHING IN MY STRIDE, DON'T NEED REASON, DON'T NEED RHYME, AIN'T NOTHIN THAT I'D RATHER DO, GOIN DOWN, PARTY TIME, MY FRIENDS ARE GONNA BE THERE TOO, I'M ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELL, ON THE HIGHWAY TO HELL." Dean screamed along to his AC/DC song as he went 30 over the speed limit on the highway he was driving on.
"Dean you should slow down just a bit." Castiel said, but worriedly.
"Awe Cassy you're no fun." Dean replied, fake pouting, as he slowed his car from 90 to 70.
"Thank you Dean."
"Yeah yeah naggy mcnaggerson."
"My names Cas."
"It's a joke."
"A bad one."
Sam chuckled at their bickering from the backseat. They were so perfect for each other. Because of Deans speeding, they were about ten minutes away from home now. Sam couldn't wait to have a home cooked meal (cooked by Dean of course) instead of that greasy shit they'd been eating since Dean got sick. Before then, Dean used to cook for Sammy every night and invite him to his apartment, even though they lived right next to each other and Dean could have easily just dropped off the food, Sam enjoyed his brothers company. They'd talk about pointless crap til the sun went down and Sam would leave to go do homework. Sam loved that he lived with Dean now. Hopefully Dean would cook burgers. Sam loved Deans burgers.
"And home. Who wants burgers?" Dean announced.
"Me!" Sammy excitedly screamed.
"I don't eat." Castiel dully said.
Castiel was a bit sad that he wouldn't be able to taste food as food anymore. Now it would just be molecules. Disgusting. Cas headed up to his room, plugging in his phone and heading down to help Dean with the burgers. Cas watched as Dean worked his grill on the patio. And soon enough there was fire and Dean tried to put it out with a cloth. That of course did not work. Cas watched as Dean dropped the cloth onto the wooden patio, starting it on fire as well. Cas snapped his fingers and the fire was gone. Dean looked relieved.
"Dude what is it with you and fires? That's the second time this month." Castiel teased.
"I guess I'm just too hot." Dean winked.
"Alrighty Dean-o that's enough." Gabriel said, appearing with a lollipop in his hand. "Where's samsquatch?"
"Sams in his room." Castiel told him.
"Alrighty." Gabriel tousled Deans hair. "Adios."
"Why'd you let him in my house?" Dean complained.
"Your house? Our house Dean. Ours. O. U. R. S. Ouurrss." Castiel exaggerated his words so Dean got the point.
"Fine why'd you let him in ouuurrr house?" Dean mocked.
"He's my family Dean."
"Oh yeah forgot bout that. Cheese on yours?"
"Dean I don't eat."
"Oh yeah. Then I guess Sam and I will just eat two each."
Sam was writing in a journal when Gabriel appeared next to him, scaring the literal shit out of him. Sam let out a slight fart.
"Gabriel what the hell?" Sam screeched.
"Could ask you the same thing. What have you been eating, Jesus." Gabriel said as he plugged his nose.
"Dude that's your fault you scared me."
"Well one I'm not a dude I'm your babe and two I didn't release the kraken from my anus now did I?"
"Shut up."
"Make me."
Sam pressed his lips hard against Gabriels, making him shut  up. He asked for it. Sam forced his tongue into Gabriel's mouth, getting a moan in response. Sam pulled away and just looked in Gabriel's eyes.
"Sammy, food!" Dean yelled from the kitchen, getting no response. "Sammy!"
Dean made his way to Sams bedroom, opening it without even thinking of knocking.
"Sam I said-" Dean froze not talking as he looked at his brother on top of Gabriel.
"Dean maybe knock first or give me a minute?" Sam said sarcastically.
"Uh sorry I- I'll, um bye." Dean said extremely awkwardly.
Dean headed back to the kitchen and set the table and gave him and Sam each a burger. Dean watched as Cas sat down and just watched him gobble up his burger before going in on the second.
"Could you possibly eat that any faster?" Castiel asked, laughing.
"No. No I could not." Dean said with a bit of food still in his mouth.
Castiel laughed, thinking of a child Dean gobbling up his food just as fast as adult Dean did. Castiel only stopped laughing when he thought about the reason Dean ate so fast. Castiel had seen all of Deans memories and the one he was thinking of was how Dean would always eat really fast because he didn't know when he would get his next meal. It was sad to think about but as Castiel looked back up at Dean, he couldn't help but smile as he speed-ate his second burger.
Sam said goodbye to Gabriel and he flew away, disappearing from Sams room. Sam headed to what he assumed would be a very awkward supper. To his surprise though, Dean was too mesmerized by his burger to even notice Sam had joined him at the table. Sam ate his burger much slower than he had ever seen Dean eat. He saved his second burger for tomorrow. Sam was never one to eat two burgers and he knew Dean knew that. Dean just liked to make Sam an extra so he could eat it the next day. Sam appreciated that.
Dean excused himself and headed up to his room, Castiel making it up there before him by flying. Dean stripped to his boxers and laid down to read a book or more depending on how fast he could read the one he hadn't even started yet. Dean opened the book, even though Castiel had spoiled the ending, he still wanted to read The Fault In Our Stars.
Castiel laid down next to Dean and cuddled up to him, quickly falling asleep to Deans heartbeat.
Sam headed to his room after supper and thought about Gabriel. He liked Gabriel. He was funny and nice and always smelled like chocolate. Sam soon fell into a dream about his life with Gabriel.
