Dean woke up with two huge fluffy things surrounding him. He figured they were blankets in his sleepy state. Dean woke up a bit more and realized that those were feathers. Feathers. Why were feathers in his car? Why were huge wings in his car? What the fuck?
"CAS WHAT THE HELL?" Dean shouted scared out of his wits.
"What De- oh shit I'm sorry." Castiel made his wings invisible again.
"Dude how. What. Why."
"Well angels can make their wings visible if they want to. These are my wings. And you were cold so I tried to help warm you up. I thought I'd be up before you to make them disappear before you noticed I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize that's sweet. But why did you wait until now to show me them?"
"I was scared you'd think of me as a freak."
"Oh baby I'd never think of you as a freak."
Dean kissed Castiel good morning and got out of the impala to get dressed and head back to their house. Dean put on his clothes and got in the drivers seat to wait for Cas to join him in the passenger seat. Dean heard the door open and he sat up and put in the keys. Dean grabbed Castiels hand and drove back to the actual paved road.
"Dean what if our lives are never okay?" Castiel randomly asked.
"What do you mean? Our lives are okay. They're more than okay." Dean told him.
"No Dean I mean what if you get sick again or what if I lose my wings again or what if Danneel gets hurt or-"
"Cas we are all going to be fine I promise."
"Okay okay."
Castiel didn't believe Dean for a second. He knew all of the horrible things that could possibly happen. He knew that bad things would happen throughout their lives and it hurt Cas to think about but he couldn't help it. Castiel got out of the impala once they arrived at his home. Cas ran up to his room to pack for Disneyland. He threw his phone and phone charger into a backpack along with a spare change of clothes and some pjs.
Danneel was ecstatic to be going to Disneyland. She had packed the night before and not shut up about it to Sam. She was pretty sure she'd annoyed the crap out of him but she didn't care. It was the most magical place on earth and she was going. Today. In less than 12 hours she'd be in Anaheim California and in a Disney hotel. She couldn't wait.
Dean never liked the idea of Disney. They took old stories that ended in death and torture and made them into princesses with happily ever afters. Dean couldn't stand Disney. But for his princess, he'd do anything. Dean threw his leather jacket into his duffel bag and added in some jeans and band tees. Next was his phone and charger. Dean brought his and Cassys bags out to the impala, coming back for Sams and Danneels. He managed to get everybody out into the impala by continuously honking his horn, which he thought was hilarious, his neighbors and roommates thought it was annoying. Dean screeched the tires as he drove out of the driveway.
"Shit. Cas can you go back quick and feed the animals?" Dean half panicked.
"Yeah no problem. Be right back." Castiel disappeared.
Castiel flew back to the house and fed the cats and dog. He was sure to keep the cats in his room and the dog in the porch area. He let Zeppelin out to go to the bathroom and let him back in when he was done. He then flew back to the impala and sat besides Dean in the front seat. Cas noticed Danneel was quite unphased and he thought that was a bit weird since he had never done that in front of her before. Gabriel had though, but even then she was chill. Cas just assumed she was used to weird shit and moved on to other thoughts.
Sam was very excited to go to Disneyland. He was even more hyped than Danneel. Sam had never been to Disneyland but unlike his brother, he had wanted to go since he was 4. He always thought that he'd get there eventually and here he was 12 years later, doing exactly what he'd dreamed of since age 4. Sam had barely packed anything because he wanted to fill his bag with stupid souvenirs he bought from the happiest place on earth.
Dean pulled into a truck stop halfway through their journey. Dean took Danneel in with him because he wanted her to experience it. He let her wander as he followed. She picked some things out like a magnet of a cactus and keychain that had the city and truck stop logo. Dean checked out his items and Danneel threw a candy bar on the check out counter. Dean happily paid for it and took their bags out to the impala. Dean screeched out of the parking lot and got back on the highway.
Danneel looked out the window as hundreds of trees zipped by. She ate her candy she had had Dean purchase at the truck stop. She was hyper for a while but eventually got a sugar crash and she passed out on Castiels lap.
Castiel rubbed Danneels hair as she slept. He really didn't want to wake her but they were at the hotel. Dean had went to check in. Cas hoped Danneel would wake up on her own since he really didn't want to wake her. She looked so peaceful. Once Cas knew their room number, he carried Danneel to a bed, trying his best not to wake her. Dean had got a special room with a bunk bed in a kids hideout. Castiel set Danneel on the top bunk and her belongings on the bottom bunk. Cas glanced at the clock. No wonder she's so tired it's 9 pm. Castiel headed to one of the queen beds and crashed in it immediately.
Dean carried in his and Cassys bags. Sam could handle his own. Dean set their bags down on the side of the bed. He climbed into bed with Cas as Sam got into his own bed. Dean saw Gabriel appear in bed next to Sam. Dean heard Sam quickly start snoring in the comfort of Gabriel's arms. Dean wrapped his arms around Castiel and fell asleep.(A/N)
