Yesterday was a very beautiful day. Today, thanks to the chattering noises from the hall, I woke up reluctantly. I put on my morning coat and went to check which of Veronica's friends were here. When I opened the door, I realised they were not her friends.

"You're finally awake. I didn't want to wake you up. Well your fiancé sent these people here."Veronica said, handing me a cup of coffee.

I opened my eyes in shock as I sat by her on the couch.

"Hello, Mia. I'm Jessica, your assistant. These are Beltrum and Sylvia, your hair stylist, Wendy and Finn, your make up stylists, and Sasha and your sister, your fashion experts" Jessica said, she seemed quite young, and had a pure British accent.

"Well, you do know I have work right?" I replied

"Mr. McCarthy says he wouldn't require you to work for him anymore. The only work you get to do is being his wife"

"But I love to work." I replied sulkily.

"By the way, Veronica, Jessica and I are going to sort out your ward robe today, select a few things that will remain here and send the rest to Mr. McCarthy's. We'll be buying new things for you too." Sasha spoke.

Veronica gave me a peck and followed Sasha out.

"Can I please speak to Xavier for a sec?" I asked and excused myself. I speed dialed him

Xavier: good morning. How are you?

Me: good. Except for the fact that my sleep as cut short by some people you sent over.

Xavier: sorry dear. Should I ask them to leave so you can continue your sleep?

Me: no. it's no need. The damage has been done already. I'm going to have a bath now.

Xavier: I would love to join you

Me: if you'll be here on time, I'd love to accommodate you

Xavier: poor me. I'll meet you up for lunch okay?

Me: sure. Bye.

Xavier: bye

I took a quick bath and got dressed in a black knee length sleeveless dress. I wore a pair of black flats to match and tied my hair in a pony.

I went out to meet the hair stylists and makeup artists still there.

"I forgot about you guys." I said.

"Don't worry. We were just leaving. We'll be back tomorrow"

Sure" I replied and escorted them to the door.

I called Becky and we chatted for a whole hour. I told her about our cake shopping. I prepared myself some breakfast and sat in the hall to watch Empire, when I heard a knock on my door. I got up and went to attend to it. When I opened it, it was Damon. I gave him a quick hug before he joined me on the couch

"Is Veronica around?" he asked

"Nope. Looks like someone's fond of my sister" I teased

"Looks like someone's my best friend's fiancée"

I playfully smacked his shoulder.

"So what you watching?" he asked.

"Empire"

We sat quietly and watched together till he spoke up again.

"You know, I actually believe you and Xavier will fall in love" he said.
