The weather seemed colder than usual, just the way I liked it. Granted, I woke up from a nightmare about my father and didn't find it in me to wake Xavier, which led me to the seaside. My father's former place of comfort. I could picture him standing here. Emotions rushed in and out of me as fast as the wind blew. The moment of waiting was finally over, yet I didn't feel that joy I felt when I first received the news. Probably because of Xavier's assurance of my father's change.

Sighing, I rose to my feet. Sitting by the water isn't going to make the day go faster. I returned to our room to find Xavier still fast asleep. We had so much fan during the day, aside all the sex. We connected on different levels. I saw the fun Xavier no one ever saw. The one he released once in a blue moon.

-------------------

It was no surprise that I was sporting a mild head ache by the time the sun rose.

"Good morning beautiful" I looked up to see a freshly dressed Xavier with two mugs in hand. I took one and rewarded him with a chaste kiss on his lips, which of course, he disapproved of but kept his words to himself.
I took a sip of the fresh morning coffee I just needed. It was a little surprise though that it was prepared just how I like my coffee.
"What time is it?" I hopped out of bed and headed to the shower.

"It's almost 10. Kiley should be here in another hour. I'll go and make some phone calls to arrange her pick up whilst you get ready."

"Alright" I shouted in reply from the bathroom as I took my clothes off.
I turned to walk towards the sink, and was met with Xavier's luscious lips on mine instead. Our lips always moved in perfect sync. Something I could never get tired off.
" I don't think I'll be able to shower before Kiley gets here if we continue like this" I whispered with a smile against his lips.

"I'll leave you. For now" he replied with a smirk then took his leave. Well, after he rewarded my ass with a hard smack.

..........................

I picked up my phone and headed out to the open living area, almost the same time a car drives in, sending particles of dust everywhere. One of Xavier's men stepped down, then attended to the visitor.

"You look beautiful, babe." Xavier wrapped his arms around me as we watched Kiley walk towards us in a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and sneakers. Typically British. She approached us with a slight smile on her face, and damn if she wasn't beautiful.

Xavier let go of me and pulled her into a tight hug.

"You've grown so much in a few years. I saw your wedding on the news. I'm sorry I couldn't make it."

"Don't sweat it." He replied with a smile. It was pretty obvious they've known each other for a while.

"It's why I agreed to fly all the way here with short notice. So. We even now?" She stretched out an arm, which Xavier took with a warm smile.

"More than even. You have no idea how much your coming out here means to us. Kiley, this is my wife Mia."

Kiley turns to me with a bright polite smile, which I can't help but return.

"Hello, Mia. I believe you are the reason why Xavier has me flying down here. "

"I should believe so. Can I get you something to drink?"

We walked over to the living room with Xavier's arm around me.

"No, thank you.  I've had too much to take on my journey here."
