"Ed come on. I know you are a guy, but this is very important to me. Please" I begged with a pout. I was all dressed for today's gown tryout and he was in early to drop me. Veronica had already taken her leave, something about being there first since she is the one in charge.

"I'll wait in the car."

"No. I need you to see my dress and tell me how beautiful I look."I whined.

We walked out of the house and I locked up after me. Ed's car was parked there, looking shiny and new although it was quite old.

"Fine. Whatever. Get in. Veronica is going to kill me if I don't get you there on time" he said, with a sigh.

"Yessss!" I yelled, right after which I sat in.

Nicki Minaj's yikes played on as I rapped along. You don't want to go against me in a rap battle. Especially a Nicki Minaj rap battle.

Ed chirped in a few bars he knew.

"Hey, I almost forgot. How was your date?" I asked once the music came to an end and Tusa started playing.

"She's a cool person, a lovely girl too." He replied as he unconsciously tapped on the steering wheel in sync with the beat of the song.

"But?" I put in the three-lettered word no body liked to hear.

"She isn't my type. She's sweet. Too sweet. It was worth a try though. She just gives off this positive vibe. A good friend, if you will."

"Well, I'm glad she had one of her fantasies come to life" I replied with a smile. I wasn't about to push my best friend into a relationship he would regret.

"According to the address Veronica sent, we are here" Ed stated as he parked the car.

We both looked out at the pale pink and cream building which had wedding gowns on display.

"I guess this is it. Let's go in."

Ed locked the doors after which we walked in hand in hand. The shop was huge. I spotted Veronica speaking to a woman at the far end as we walked in.

"Who is paying for this?" I asked. They both turned their heads to me with a smile.

"My brother, of course." I looked to my left to see Regina.

I engulfed her in a hug.

"I'm so glad you could make it" I said, truly happy she was here.

"I told you I would."

"Virginia, this is my best friend, Edward Peters"

She turned her gaze to him, and Ed looked short of words momentarily.

"Hi. Y..You can call me Ed. Everyone calls me that. " He said, taking her hand in his. This would probably go unnoticed to everyone, but the look in his eye was none I had ever seen before. Then I looked over at Regina, who seemed to be finding it difficult to speak as well. Guess I had cupid abilities. Who knew?

"Sorry. I'm Regina. Xavier's sister. Nice meeting you." She finally said.

Slowly, I made my way away from them and to where Veronica stood.

"You must be Mia. You are even more beautiful than I imagined. Veronica gave me quite an imagination, but nothing prepared me for this" The dark woman stated with a smile. I blushed furiously. Typical Veronica to flaunt me. You would think she was the eldest.
