Amanda

Amanda had taken all of her clothes out of her closet. She couldn't decide what to wear. She had less than two hours to find an outfit for her date with Duff. How do you dress for a date with a musician? She doesn't want to wear something too revealing. Her parents wouldn't let her leave the house. It had to be something that was not formal and not too casual. Amanda decided to call Stephanie. If anyone could help her with a clothes crisis, it's definitely her.

"Hello." Stephanie said.

"It's me. I need help." Amanda said. She was looking at the big pile of clothes on her bed. How could she still not be able to decide?

"What is it?" Stephanie asked.

"I don't know what to wear for my date with Duff. I have literally taken all of my clothes out of the closet and there is nothing decent that I can wear." Amanda was frustrated. It was just a date. It wasn't something that was too complicated.

"I've got you covered. I'll bring an outfit of mine that would look great on you. Good thing we are the same size." Stephanie said. "I'll be there in about 20 minutes."

"Thanks. I really appreciate you doing this." Amanda was so happy right now.

"No problem. That's what friends are for." Stephanie said.

20 minutes later

Stephanie just arrived at the Johnson residence. She got out of her car. She took the bag with the outfit that she would let Amanda borrow. She knocked on the front door. Sandra opened the door.

"Hello Stephanie." Sandra said.

"Hi, Mrs. Johnson." Stephanie said.

"We certainly weren't expecting you today. What's the occasion?" Sandra asked.

"I'm helping Amanda with her clothes crisis." Stephanie indicated this by lifting the bag she was holding in her left hand.

"That's right. Amanda is going on her date today." Sandra was not too happy that Amanda was going out with Duff. She and Steven had not met him yet. They had a discussion about Amanda's date and Steve told her that he trusts Amanda. He's not happy about it either, but he told Sandra that if they forbid her from going out, then she will just sneak around to see Duff. Sandra agreed. She recalled how when she was 17 her parents didn't let her date during high school. Her first boyfriend was her sophomore year in college.

"I know what you're thinking Mrs. Johnson. Duff is not a bad guy. Amanda will be fine on this date with him. I promise you. He's a very funny guy. Give him a chance. Maybe Amanda will bring him over next time they decide to go out." Stephanie tried to reason with her.

"I will think about it. I suppose you better head on over to Amanda." Sandra said.

Stephanie walked up the stairs and went to Amanda's room. "Have no fear, Stephanie is here." Stephanie announced.

Amanda started laughing when she said that. "My hero." Amanda sarcastically replied. Stephanie was so carefree. Her sense of humor always cheers up Amanda. "Is that the outfit?" Amanda said while she was pointing to the bag in Stephanie's hand.

"Yep. It's going to look amazing on you. I guarantee it." Stephanie took it out and held it in front of her so Amanda could see it. "Actually, I brought two outfits. You should have choices."
