(AN: This is how Amanda and Duff are dressed in this chapter.)

Amanda
I had just gotten home after my shift at the Merry Go Round. I wanted to take a nap as soon as I got home. I felt tired because I started my new semester in the fashion college, and the assigned readings for my business class have just been so over the top. Who in their right mind assigns six chapters to be read in just two days? I think my brain cannot accept so much information in such a short amount of time. Plus I work, so that does take its toll on me sometimes. But I can't quit my job, because I want to save enough money for my trip around Europe after I graduate. My dilemma is a tough one, but I'm not a quitter.
My parents were still working at their accounting office today. I opened the refrigerator and I found a bottle of water. I picked it up and I drank a few sips. I started walking up the stairs to get to my room when the doorbell rang. I wonder who it could be. I wasn't expecting anyone to come over today. I turned around and headed for the door. I looked through the peep-hole and Duff was standing in front of the door. I unlocked the door and he had the biggest grin on his face.
"Duff. I certainly didn't expect you to be here today." I was a bit surprised.
"Blondie, how can you be so surprised right now? Didn't you remember that I would be coming over today for my Christmas gift?" Duff was very enthusiastic when he explained this.
Oh, no. I can't believe I forgot that he would be coming over today. I can't believe I forgot. I feel like such an idiot. He told me last night at the band's apartment that we would be spending the day together. "Duff, I forgot that we would be spending the day together."
"No worries, babe. That happens to me sometimes too." Duff chuckled at her frustration. He pulled Amanda in an embrace. She hugged him too.
"Give me a minute to get your present. Stay here." Amanda said while she was walking up the stairs.
"Sure." Duff replied as he sat on the couch in the living room.
Amanda entered her bedroom and picked up the gift that was placed on her desk. I hope he likes it. This wasn't an easy gift to find in just any store, Amanda thought as she was walking downstairs.
Duff looked up when he heard Amanda approach him. She sat down beside him on the couch while she handed him her gift. He took it in his hands. Duff smiled at the sticker she put on the wrapping paper. The sticker indicated that the gift was for: Duffy and it was from: Blondie. "Babe, you're so adorable." He leaned over and gave her a peck on the cheek. Amanda smiled back at Duff.
"Open it." Amanda demanded. "I think you've waited long enough for it."
Duff removed the wrapping paper and he couldn't believe what he was looking at. It was a leather jacket of one of his favorite punk rock groups: the Sex Pistols.
