(AN: Pretend that Duff is holding an acoustic guitar in the photo. I couldn't really find many photos of him holding an acoustic guitar when he's younger. This is how he is dressed in this chapter. I don't own any lyrics that I have included in this chapter. Everything belongs to its rightful owners.)
Amanda
It was now 2pm and Amanda was still reading her business textbook. She had to read three chapters for her Tuesday class. She was reading chapter 2 now. She was reading about fashion industry segments. "The primary market is the industry segment that includes businesses that grow and produce the raw materials that become fashion apparel or accessories. The secondary market is the industry segment that includes businesses that transform raw materials into fashion in the merchandise production phase. The tertiary market is the industry segment that includes retail businesses such as stores." Maybe it didn't sound exciting, but Amanda had to get through this chapter. She liked her fashion classes because she got to draw designs, but her businesses classes were not too exciting. There were a lot of assigned readings while in her fashion classes she got to be very creative. Her mom insisted on her having a minor in business. Even if she didn't achieve her dreams of designing outfits, at least she would have something to fall back on. Just one more chapter to go, Amanda thought while she was reading the current chapter.
Someone was knocking on her bedroom door. Amanda looked up from her textbook and said "Come in" to whoever was on the other side of the door. The door opened and her mom was standing there.
"Hey mom. What's up?" Amanda asked.
"Duff is in the living room. Did you invite him today?" Sandra asked.
"Yes, I did. Tell him to come up here." Amanda told her mom. Sandra was looking at Amanda with a very serious look on her face. "What is it mom?"
"Just keep the door open." Sandra said while she was leaving Amanda's room so she could tell Duff to go upstairs. Sandra returned back to the living room where Duff was waiting with his guitar. "Amanda's in her room. You can go on up there." Sandra pointed in the direction of Amanda's room upstairs. What Sandra didn't know was that Duff already knew where Amanda's room is located.
"Thanks, Mrs. Johnson." Duff said as he started going up the stairs to Amanda's room. Sandra went back to the kitchen to finish cooking a new recipe that was recommended to her from Elizabeth. They still kept in touch despite not living in the same neighborhood. Steven was out shopping for groceries.

Amanda was still reading when she heard another knock on her door. She closed her textbook and put it on her desk. She opened the door and Duff was standing in front of her. He was holding his guitar in his right hand. "Duff, I'm so glad you're here." Amanda stood on her tiptoes so she could reach up to kiss him on the lips. Duff leaned down and kissed her back.
"I'm glad to see you today, Blondie." Duff smiled at Amanda. He took of his sunglasses and left them on Amanda's desk. He took off his hat too and placed it next to his sunglasses.
"So, you weren't kidding when you said that you would be playing the song today." Amanda indicated to the acoustic guitar Duff was holding.
"Yeah, I'm very serious." Duff said while he smirked at Amanda.
"Have a seat." Amanda indicated to her bed. "On second thought, let me get rid of everything before I suggested that you can sit." Amanda went to her bed and removed all of her textbooks from her bed and put them on the ground beside her bed.
Duff sat down on her bed and Amanda sat across from him. "Before I start this song, I just want you to know it's not perfect yet. It's a rough draft. Axl and Izzy did write the entire text, but we are still making adjustments. I'm also going to sing it." Duff pointed out.
