I was wrong. Our relationship is getting worse. Duff is not willing to change for the better. The drugs and the alcohol have taken over his life. We had a confrontation not too long ago.

Flashback

I was sitting on a chair that was next to the kitchen counter. I got up early today around 8:30am. I couldn't sleep. I ate a waffle and drank a cup of coffee. I was sketching another design. I haven't done that in a while. Duff was still sleeping in the bedroom. I drew eight sketches after I ate breakfast. Currently I was finishing up my ninth sketch. It wasn't a fashion sketch. It was something entirely different. I don't know why I drew it. Maybe it must have been something in my subconscious that made me draw it. He sure is handsome, I thought while I was looking at the sketch that I did of Jordan.

I still haven't forgotten about that night at the American Music Awards. Why did he keep on staring at me throughout the night? There were way more prettier girls than me at the show. He's Jordan Knight. He can have any girl he wants. He can have all of the models, actresses, and singers at the award ceremony. I'm just a college student. I'm nothing special. I'm not a celebrity. Even though I have been in music videos with Duff, I don't really consider myself to be a celebrity. At least I can always say that I got to see Jordan Knight live. It was a nice moment, but that's all it was: just a moment that is a once of a lifetime event that will never happen again. I closed the sketchbook.

I was about to start eating lunch when Duff entered the kitchen. "Morning." He mumbled. He opened the refrigerator and he was holding a bottle of vodka in his left hand.

I turned to face him. "Really, Duff?" I hissed at him. "It's barely noon and you're going to drink that?" I pointed to the bottle.

"I'll drink what I want." Duff walked past me and he went to sit on the couch. He was drinking the vodka in a square glass.

I went to the couch to sit next to him. "Duff, please don't drink. You haven't even eaten anything since you got up." I pleaded with him.
