School has been going great. I've really being enjoying my fashion classes. Professor Fenn gave us an assignment that I really enjoyed. Each student had to draw 5 designs. Professor Fenn would usually give us a time period for our designs. This time it was the 1980s. She was interested to see how we could think outside of the box with our designs. She was tough, but she really challenged our minds. She really motivated her students. In the classroom, Professor Fenn had a poster of a very inspirational quote by Ralph Lauren. I always look at the quote after I leave the class. It really inspires me when I'm sketching my designs.

The class finished for the day. I was putting my sketchbook in my backpack and was about to leave the room, but a voice stopped me. I turned around. Professor Fenn was sitting behind her desk. "Amanda, I have something I want to talk to you about. Could you take a seat?" Professor Fenn asked Amanda.
Amanda sat down on another desk that was close to Professor Fenn's desk. "Am I in trouble?" I asked. Professor Fenn has never asked me to stay after class.
"Not at all. I was looking over at your previous assignments and I have to say I'm impressed." Professor Fenn said.
"Thank you." I said
"Your sketches are really unique." Professor Fenn praised Amanda.
"Thank you. I'm sure the other students' sketches are great as well." I didn't want to be a teacher's pet. I really wanted to fit in with the other students. I didn't want to be treated differently from the other students.
"They are, but yours really stand out." Professor Fenn mentioned. "How do you find inspiration when you are sketching your designs?"

"Well, I used to look through fashion magazines for as long as I can remember. I guess I got hooked on fashion since I was a kid. A friend of the family really got me interested in fashion." I explained.
