Chapter 22

"What would you like to order?" a tall lanky brunette boy asks us, he smiles a crooked smile at me.

Jc sends daggers to him, the lanky boy straightens up and clears his voice.

"I'll take a Coke." Jordan smiles at the waiter, Connor's eyes flash to Jordan. His eyes widen but then he quickly looks down at his menu.

What's up with him? "Water please." Connor mumbles.

"Anything, blood red." Jc growls, damn.

Is it stuffy I here, or is it just me? I order some water and excuse myself for some air.

I step out of the restaurant and onto the patio of 'Pierre's Steakhouse'.

I break in the fresh salty sweet air of the California Coast.

"Needed fresh air?" Jordan appears next to me, she rests her arms on the rail in front of us.

"Yeah, it was getting hot I there."

"No, it wasn't. I know you're dating Jc, Tori. You don't have to stay as far as possible away from him to pretend like you aren't." Jordan speaks, she looks up at the sky as if she's speaking to the heavens.

"Shit-" I say under my breath "-is that a problem?" I add with a smile.

Jordan shrugs, "I've distanced myself from my brother's love loop, since Luna I haven't wanted to ask"

My heart stops, "Who's L-Luna?" I stutter.

Jordan doesn't meet eye contact, she giggles "That isn't my place, ask Jc, not me."

I grip the rail- hard. "Anyways-" Jordan turns away from me to the door "- I gotta go sit next to my future honey."

She begins to walk forward "He's already a honey to someone else." I say.

She continues to walk, when she reaches the door she turns back to me "Oh Tori, whatever I want- I get. Soon he'll be mine, bye bye."

She spins on her heels and walks away.

Jc said his sister wasn't a psychopath, boy was he wrong.
