Chapter 14

The next morning I'm awoken by Kat's arm, let me explain. I was peacefully dreaming about gumdrops and heartbreaks when I feel something land on my head.

I open one eye and find Kat's arm straddled over my head, I throw her arm back onto her. I grunt a little to loudly because Kat springs up out of bed and yells "What happened?! Where's the killer?!"

I shake my head and as a small smile plays across my lips. I'm beyond pissed and kinda depressed about the Jc thing- but I have to be strong.

I can't be that girl who cries over a cancelled date, how lame. I climb over Kat who collapsed back into her usual spot.

I open up my phone, 2 new messages. Could it be Jc? I roll my eyes, this is stupid.

I open my messages app, 1 from Connor and 1 from- guess who- Jc.

Connor: Hey where r u ?

I quickly reply, he doesn't need to worry about me.

Me: Slept at Kat's b back soon :p

I opened up Jc's message without hesitation, what I find is beyond strange.

Jc: Hey when's our date today, babe?

I shake my head and read it again, I surely did read it right.

I shake Kat's arm, "Kat... Kat... KAT!"

She rolls over to me, her eyes squinting but still open-ish.

I read the text to her, her eyes open a little more as they widen.

"You have to talk to him" Kat says, I quickly shake my head. She gives me the look my mother always gave to me when I refused to say sorry to someone.

I grunt loudly, but I know that in an hour id be back at the boys' house.

I was right, it's an hour later and Kat and I are sitting in the car in front of the large white house.

"So, when do we go in?" Kat asks, "Never." "C'mon you have to go in eventually"

I sigh loudly and exit the car, I walk in the front door and quietly close the door behind Kat.

We walk into the living room and find something extremely awkward to just walk into.

Jc and a tanned blonde girl are making out on the couch- wait that's an understatement, they were sucking each other's faces off on the couch.

They didn't notice we had entered so they continued, Jc glides his hand over the girls back- she's now on top of him, ew.

She cups his chubby full cheeks as he brushes his hands through her long sleek hair.

"When did you guys get back?" Connor yells behind us, Jc and the girl quickly break apart and stare embarrassed at us.

Kat quickly pushes Connor outside and smiles sheepishly at me. I look back at Jc and the girl who are now staring at me.

"I... uhm... you guys continue and I'll-" I back slightly out of the room and into the hallway "-I'll go..."

I run outside, I find Kat and Connor kissing on the hood of her car.

Even in pain and full of embarrassment, I still smile at how happy Kat looks.

She spots me and they break away quickly, they both blush and I laugh.

"T-Tori I-I'm so-" "No, no it's fine. I'd let you guys continue but Kat needs to take me back to her house to get my stuff."

I really did need my stuff but we also needed to leave because I was on the verge of a major meltdown- I'm almost positive Connor would not like to see that.

Connor nods and they both awkwardly say their goodbyes, I roll my eyes and yell "Kiss goodbye children"

They both laugh and give each other an awkward yet sweet peck on the lips.

Kat climbs in the car still smiling hugely, I sniffle and she stops smiling. "I know honey-" she turns out of the neighborhood "-I know"
