Chapter 52

By 11:45 I was dressed and ready to go to Kat's, I wasn't about to let this slip through my fingers- I needed to know the truth.

If Jc wouldn't have ran away, this wouldn't be a huge deal- or if Kat hadn't kissed him. Scratch that, this is a big deal regardless.

I'm half out the door when I hear "Tori!"

I turn and am embraced into a tight hug, the figure releases me and I smile at my assaulter.

"Hey Connor! Where have you been?"

"Minnesota visiting the fam, I heard I missed a lot."

Connor's smile is as genuine and cute as I remember. His green eyes glow with happiness and something else I can't put my finger on.

I chuckle, "More than you know."

"Nah, Jc caught me up. So where are you heading to?"

His eyes dart to my hand, which is on the doorknob, he raises a brow.

"Kat's, I need to hear her side of the story. Ya know, from the incident."

Connor's eyes fill with concern, "I don't think you should go Tori, I mean if she really kissed Jc something tells me the last person she wants to see is you."

A sudden rush of anger washes over me, he does not know how this feels!

"You have no right to tell me what to do, Connor. May I remind you that you cheated on Kat and you went to see her. Something tells me, you were the last person she wanted to see too!" I growl and snap.

"Well you told me to go apologize! So don't criticize me!" he snaps back at me. His voice fills with hurt, but I'm too roused up to stop myself.

"You have no idea what I've been through this week Connor, now get off my ass!"

"Fine, go. Get the hell out of my house! No one wants you here anyway!" He shouts in my face.

I gasp and step back.

"Fine, I'll go. In fact, I won't come

back! Ever! And I have you to thank."

I snap my head towards the half opened door and lead myself out.

I slam the door, my head still held high.

I climb into the spare car they gave me and slam the door. My mind is racing and my body is shaking with rage.

Doesn't he get that this is important to me, the truth?!

I start the engine and pull away from their house and begin onto Kat's.

When I finally pull up to her driveway, I've calmed a bit but I'm still pissed as hell.

I turn off the car and hop out, as I walk up to her door I realize that I was just kicked out of the only place I can live.

I suddenly see the front widow curtain moves and I know someone is home, I ring the doorbell- but no one answers.

I shrug and walk through the door, when I close it behind me I yell "Kat! Kat I'm here, we gotta talk."

I walk over to her kitchen, I suddenly hear footsteps behind me.

Before I could turn a sharp pain hits my head and my vision goes black.
