As I came sprinting to the car, Jc's eyes widen. I run to him, bear hug and fake sniffles.
"A-are you leaving?" he whispers.
"No-" I whisper between whimpers "-I've got a plan. Now hug me like I'm dying."
Jc didn't need me to tell him twice, he sniffles and buries his face into my neck.
"You're a pretty good actor."
"Thanks, I learned from Connor being dramatic all the time."
I cough loudly to hide my laughter, we pull apart and I wipe my fake tears.
Jc opens the car door, "Slowly." I fake cough to cover my demand.
He does so, I cross my arms and look down at the ground. Whenever I'm
'sad' I look at my feet, my- he should know that.
Finally the door is open, I grab my jacket with great carefulness.
I turn around and he is gone, probably in the house looking for Tequila.
What a shame he'll be drunk in jail, not my problem.

Kat POV

I stand behind the counter in my kitchen, the house phone under my foot for emergencies.
Tori's dad sits on a stool across from me, he runs his hand through his silver hair. He looks beyond stressed.
"You probably think I'm an awful person." he suddenly says to me, I don't his eye. I continue to stare at my blue painted nails.
"You don't know what it's like to be a single parent, it's hard. Tori-"
"Oh shut it! You fucking abused her! No offense but you can't blame your drunk problems on her, she doesn't do much." I shout at him, I don't even care that I just told off an adult- he deserved everything he got.
"How dare you talk to me like that, I am old enough to be your guardian! I ought to-"
I hear sirens outside and before he could finish I cut him off "What are you gonna do? Slap me? Too late buddy."
I grin evilly and sprint outside, he runs after me. When I finally reach Jc's car I spin around and Tori's father is frozen.
His eyes dart from Tori (who's standing right beside me) to me, "You betrayed me." he snarls.
"I wasn't about to let you're drunk problems and problems period control my life." Tori told him, her voice hard as stone.
The police handcuff him and put him in the dark car, he glares at Tori and I out the window.
I don't know why, but Tori's face falls a little as the car drives away.
