"Tori, do you feel any kind of freedom?" Kat asks me, I
blink twice.
"A little."
Now that my dad is gone I feel a little more free, yet I feel a little bad. I mean he was just mourning his dead wife, still she was my mom and I didn't go nuts and start beating up everyone. I don't know whether to feel sorry or throw a party with birthday hats and fireworks.
A sudden headache springs on me and I press my fingers to the bridge of my nose, "I just wanna go home." I whisper to both of them. Nausea hits me and a stumble back into Jc's comforting arms.
"I think this is too much for her." Kat mumbles to Jc so I can't hear her, news flash- I can.
"Maybe, I better get her home. You wanna ride? She could use some... 'girl talk' ya know?"
Kat chuckles and before I know it I'm buckled into the car and we're off.

I guess I fell asleep in the car because I wake up in Jc's bed, I turn over towards to wall and Jc is sitting next to me on his Mac computer. He's typing away, his teeth biting down on his lip.
"Morning." Jc says, not taking his eyes off the screen.
"What time is it?" I lean on his arm.
"3 am."
"3 am! Why are you on the computer at 3 in the morning?!"
"I'm editing my YouTube video, while you were sleeping I recorded it."
I nod, "Aren't you tired?"
"Yes, but I have to finish this."
I bury my head into his chest, he kisses my head softly. "You're distracting me Tori..." he groans.
"I'm doing no such thing." I bat my eyes at him endearingly.
He rolls his eyes and goes back to work, I roll onto my back beside him and gaze up at the ceiling.
"Jc, what's the meaning of life?"
"You're asking me the meaning of life at 3 am?"
"Yes."
"The meaning of life is finding a passion and someone to share it with."
"How inspirational, you should make a T-shirt of that."
Jc chuckles softly, "You're so cute."
"I know."
We stay in complete silence for a few minutes, then I pipe up "Can I be in one of you videos?"
Jc's eyes widen and he grins, "That would be great, now go to sleep."
"You can't control-" yawn "-me."
Before I could decipher what Jc said, I was already fast asleep.
