"Hey Moony." Sirius said waking up slowly after the full moon.

"Mm Pads." Remus said rolling over and wrapping Sirius up in his arms.

"You know I love you, yeah? I always have. You're my Moony. I love your sweaters, and that you always have chocolate near by, and that you always keep me grounded and stop me before I do something too reckless. Thank you, Moony. I don't know what I'd do without you." Sirius says nuzzling his neck.

"I love you, too. Nap?" Remus says hardly waking up.

Once Remus actually woke up he found a large black dog curled up against his back. Sirius always found it much easier to sleep while he was Padfoot, so Remus started scratching behind the dog behind his ears to wake him up. Slowly Padfoot stretched and licked Remus on the cheek before popping back into Sirius to throw himself on top of his husband.

"We should play a prank today. Maybe on Snivelous." Sirius said with his face inches from Remus'.

"That's your first thought?" Remus replied with an eyebrow raised. "You're literally on top of me and thinking about Severus? Should I be worried?"

"Oh Merlin no! I haven't gone mad!" Sirius yelled in disgust. "That's disgusting. I just want to remind him that we'll all be in the castle! It'll be fun!" He said trying to convince his husband.

"Sirius, I love you, I really truly undeniably do. But we're adults." Remus replied kissing his husband's nose.

"Harry's not! I'll be great, something mostly harmless. How's he going to know how to execute a proper prank if we don't show him? The ones on you don't count, you don't react because you always see it coming." Sirius said trying to sound defiant.

"You're trying to corrupt our boy at such a young age! Plus I'm a professor now, I have to set a good example of a responsible adult. Merlin knows that's not your strong suit." The brown haired man said with a smile.

"I am responsible! Well, I can be. At least I'm fun!" Sirius replied rolling out of bed and crossing his arms.

"Yes, babe. Very responsible. Very mature. Last week you unfolded all of my socks because I wouldn't let you and Harry have ice cream for lunch." Remus replied sarcastically while looking for a sweater. "That's a solid example of responsible adult."

"Hey! At least I left them in your drawer!" The dark haired man said bouncing around already planning the prank.

"Well I want no parts in this plan, so don't even try to give me one." Remus said picking up the Mauraders Map to see where Harry and Minerva were. "I'm getting lesson plans together with the other teachers today. We'll all be in the Great Hall for a few hours, ya know. Just in case you need me." He said with a wink kissing Sirius.

"Oh Remus John Lupin, I love you!" The man said grabbing his shoes and running to get Harry.

The following day Sirius and Harry were up early dragging Remus out of bed talking about needing to take breakfast in the Great Hall with all of the teachers. That whole situation made Remus incredibly nervous, Sirius had taken to avoiding having meals with everyone else, he had no idea what the boys had done to Snape and he wasn't sure he'd be able to keep his composure. So Remus got dressed slowly and put on a sweater that Sirius had thrown him trying to get him to hurry up. Harry handed him his shoes while he was bouncing on his toes and looking over to smile mischievously at Sirius.

"So, care to tell me what you two did yesterday?" Remus said wrapping an arm around Sirius' waist and ruffling Harry's hair.

"You'll see!!" Harry said with a huge grin.

They walked into the Great Hall and starting filling their plates when the doors flew open. Apparently Professor Snape hadn't looked in the mirror yet because he looked down his nose when he saw Sirius and Harry holding their sides and leaning against one another from laughing. He gave a questioning look to Remus who was staring with his eyes wide and jaw dropped. Just then the other teachers started to come in for breakfast and nearly all of them stopped abruptly and tripped over one another. By this point Severus was getting angry, he didn't know what was going on and there wasn't anything he liked less than not knowing what was happening around him. So there stood proud Professor Severus Snape getting his breakfast and keeping his head held high, he refused to break face. Sirius and Harry we're still fighting giggles, with Remus still trying not to laugh, when Severus got up, wiped his mouth and went to check out his hot pink hair that was making everyone laugh. After a few minutes the professor stormed back into the Great Hall, throwing the doors open looking around for Sirius and Harry.

"Where are they Lupin?" Severus asked trying to be intimidating, looking the man in the eye, leaning over so some of his hot pink hair fell into his line of vision.

"Not a clue, Snape. Ran out just after you." Remus said with a laugh covered by a cough, and taking a bite of his cereal. He finished his breakfast quickly after that and went down to his rooms, having a feeling he'd find the missing two there.

"Werewolf?!" Sirius called as soon as Remus walked in the door.

"Therewolf!" Harry said pointing at Remus and laughing. They had starting doing that after doing something Remus wouldn't approve of a few years ago to make him laugh, it just stuck after a while.

"Proud?" He asked raising an eyebrow at Sirius.

"Yes, actually. It's out of my system. No students aside from Harry saw it, his hair will be back to the greasy black strings that he adores within the next day. No harm." Sirius said with a wave of his wand floating a cup of Remus' favorite tea in front of him.

"Moony, it didn't hurt him. Maybe his pride, but we all have to get over being too proud at some point. You told me that, remember?" Harry said looking at Remus with bright green, innocent eyes. Eyes that were exactly like Remus' best friends, he couldn't be mad, the boy did have a point.

"Prongslet, you're learning too much from him." Remus said laughing. "At least you're both cute. However, you should apologize, or at least tell him it won't last forever."

"It's a simple potion, he's a potion master. I'm sure he has it reversed already." Sirius said waving it off. "As our dear little Prongslet said, it only hurt his pride."

"Moony, you want chocolate?" Harry asked handing a piece over not looking up from his book.

"Harry, you're an amazing child, you know that?" Remus said taking the chocolate and popping a piece in his mouth. "Doesn't mean you're not in trouble!"

Sirius followed Remus into their room defending their actions, telling him that Harry didn't need to be in trouble, that he'd take the heat for it. Remus wasn't actually mad, he knew that they were getting bored. The three usually spent their summers traveling or having Harry's friends over. Yes the grounds and the castle were huge, but there was only so much to do. Plus seeing Harry laughing and holding onto Sirius after a prank reminded him so much of James, he knew it wasn't malicious. Then having Harry use his previous logic to defend their actions showed that he really was just like both of his parents. Remus couldn't stay mad.

"Let's go play in the lake, yeah?" Remus suggested pulling Sirius over to him.

"So you're not mad?!" Sirius said cheering up. "We did make your favorite tea and got your favorite book down. I knew you couldn't stay mad after that!" He said while puffing his chest out like he had all the answers in the world.

"Not mad." Remus laughed, letting his husband think that he was right. "Let's go tell Prongslet."

Down at the lake Harry was sitting on the bank skipping rocks into the glass-like water when out of the corner of his eye he saw Sirius running from Remus laughing. So he began to laugh as well, especially when Remus tackled him into the water. Harry had no idea what Sirius had done to deserve that, but he was sure it was warranted. After a few minutes of watching his godfathers splash and dunk one another in the water he had gone back to finding the perfect skipping rock. But he was too focused to hear the footsteps running up behind him until it was too late, by the time he knew what was happening he had been thrown into the lake, clothes, glasses, and all.

That's how Minerva found them, all soaking wet, laughing, and lounging. For a moment she truly believed everything would be okay.
