The three arrive in Hogsmead with a pop and begin walking to the castle reminiscing to Harry about how much fun the four mauraders had at the castle in their school years. Harry was giggling and smiling the whole way listening to his godfathers talk.

Dumbledore met them at the doors and the three followed him to his office. Harry was amazed by the moving staircases and kept waiving and saying "Hello!" to the talking portraits! He was having the time of his life, still unknowing to the events from two nights prior.

"Mr. Black, Mr. Lupin," Dumbledore nods to the two plush chairs in front of his desk. "thank you for coming to see me today. I'm sure you're wondering what exactly happened that night and just how little Harry here survived."

Sirius and Remus sat in the chairs with their Prongslet going back and forth between the two, waiting for their old Headmaster to continue what he was saying.

"Harry survived by love. The love of his mother sacrificing herself spared Harry's life. So, when Voldemort casted the killing curse on him the spell rebounded back on himself."

"So he's gone?" Asks Remus, hopeful, but not quite believing it.

"Moony he's gone! Harry is safe!" Sirius exclaims holding little Prongslet close.

"Now, now, I don't think he's gone for good. I believe he's gone for now. I have reason to believe that Voldemort split his soul and therefore will come back. When he does it will be for Harry." Dumbledore says gravely while looking both men in the eye. "He needs the protection that a blood relation can give him."

"No! No! Absolutely not! Have you MET Petunia Dursley?! Or her husband?!" Sirius demands with a look of disgust at having to mention the two.

"Sirius is right, sir." Remus begins. "Lily's sister despises the wizarding world, more so anything that had to do with her sister. He wouldnt be cared for properly there."

"Is that so? I did pay a visit to the Dursley's at number 4 Private Drive. As predicted they were not quite open to the idea. However Minerva and myself have decided that it is in the boys best interest for him to be placed in your care with regular visits here at the castle."

"Well, this was lovely. A pleasure as always, Professor." Remus shakes the mans hand and turns to leave.

"Thank you, professor. Please send the adoption papers over when you have time." Sirius say while picking up his godson and turning to the floo.
