*Aslesha*
Late! Aaj bhi late.
Ye ladka kabhi time pe nahi aa sakta kya? 5 baje milne ka plan tha abhi 5.30 hone aaye hai. A new way to torture me. Bloody idiot!
I'm standing near the entrance of the supermarket with two big plastic bags in my hand. I keep them down and remove my cell phone to call Pari.
I won't call him. Pari will do it for me and then she'll call me back to tell me where he is. That's how we planned that we'll meet here anyway.
Just when I'm about to call her I see him. He's getting out from his car. He starts walking towards the entrance, twirling the keys around his finger.
I see 2 girls passing near him smile and giggle when they see him. I roll my eyes. He winks at them and they giggle some more. What a jackass!
Just a second later his eyes fall on me and his smile disappears. Of course. He holds me with his gaze and I'm not able to look away. It's been a week since I didn't see those beautiful blue eyes of him. All the way he looks at me but when he's just 2-3 steps away from me, I look away.
I can't look into those eyes of him and not remember the fun times we had. And with the fun times, I also remember the hurt. This time I'm not gonna fall into his trap.
"Bahot jaldi aaye. Do ghante aur rukaa dete" I say, feeling a sense of nostalgia. That's what I'd said when he had come late to the Cabo de Rama fort.
"10 min hi hue hai" he says the same way he had said it then.
"30!" I snap at him.
"Cheetos liye tumne?" he asks changing the topic and takes one of the bag and looks inside shuffling the stuff. "Nahi" I say as I walk with him to his car.
"Doritos, maggi, kuch meethe me? Aisa kuch nahi liya" he asks and I blankly look at him. "Mai sirf actual khaane ka saamaan li. Sabziya, masaale vagera" I tell him and he purses his lips.
He keep the bags in the car and then takes my hand in his. My eyes widen in shock as he starts dragging me back into the store.
"Kya kar rahe ho?" I ask, still in shock that he is holding my hand. It's been so many days.
He decides to avoid that question. I try to remove my hand but he just tightens his hold. He takes me straight to the aisle where snacks are kept and finally leaves my hand. I unknowingly touch my hand which feels empty now and look at him.
I look at the basket he took and the things he is rapidly filling it with. Cookies, biscuits, doritos, cheetos, pringles, maggi, a packet of donuts, plum cake, and finally a big bottle of coke.
"Ab sahi hai" he mutters and starts walking towards the cash counter as I sigh.
The girl on the cash counter smiles a little too sweetly at him, batting her eyelashes and I roll my eyes. Yes he's handsome but thoda subtle raho na.
We walk towards his car again and I get in the passenger seat as he sits beside me. Bass jaldi se ye 3 ghante ka safar katt jaaye. Fir waha vo apne kaam me, aur mai apne.
I take out the novel that's in my bag and start reading as I hear him sigh. After just 5 minutes he switches on the radio and the song Munni badnaam starts playing.
I'm trying to read here! What an asshole! How can I read with Munni badnaam playing in the background?
I look at him and see him suppressing his smile. Purposely kar raha hai harami!
I try to continue reading but I can't as the next song that plays in some song named Tinku jeeya.. ye kaisa gaana hai? Ugh!
I see Viraj trying hard to control his laughter and I feel like smacking him in the face with my book.
