Hello. What Not to do at University is actually giving me life right now. Ok is this just me or does Dan fixing his fringe make

(y/n) POV

"Not in a million years."

I smiled into Dan's shirt and we finally broke apart.

"Can I ask you a question?" He asked.

"Of course!" I said. He was looking down.

"When did you start to like me? Like more than a friend?" He asked. He looked into my eyes with his chocolate ones.

"Well, I have always felt closer to you than other people, even Chris, and I always love you. I would have to say when you gave me that mug. I was astonished at how attentive to how you remembered the first time we met. I realized how much you cared about me." I said.

"How did you remember that?" I asked.

He blushed and looked down.

"Well I kind of fell in love with you when I first saw you." he said.

"What? Really?" I asked. I could feel small tears forming in the corners of my eyes.

"Yeah" he said, playing with his fingers.

I grasped his hands and he looked up at me.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I asked.

"I didn't think you would ever like me. And if I told you and you didn't like me, I was afraid that it would be awkward and our friendship would be ruined." Dan said, looking down at my hands.

"Aww, you care that much about our friendship?" I asked small happy tears escaping.

"Of course, always."

"I love you." I said hugging him again.

" I love you too." He said.

I grasped his hand again and peeked through the door at Phil and Hazel. Hazel was laughing and Phil was beaming at her.

"Phil! Show!" I called through the door. He looked up at me with a disappointed look and so did Hazel. He nodded and turned to Hazel.

"I'll talk you later?" Phil said getting up and I opened the door. Hazel nodded and Phil left with Dan.

"So Hazel, do you want to come with me to their little thing?" I asked.

"oh yeah definitely. It will be fun to see Phil. And Dan...Yeah" Hazel said getting up to walk with me.

"So... you and Phil huh?" I said walking along the silent corridor. I could hear the noise of all the people here and it made me slightly nervous.

"I mean--what...no we are just friends I guess." she said. I raised my eyebrows in disbelief.

"Really?" I asked.

"I mean he's super nice and he's Phil so he's adorable, but I'm sure he doesn't like me." Hazel said.

"Are you kidding me? Have you seen how he looks at you?" I asked.

"How?" She asked.

I looked at her for a second.

"Oh... really?" she asked her face lighting up.

"Yeah, I shouldn't tell you this, but he really likes you." I said squealing.

"Really? This is awesome!" She said and we entered the show area. We sat down.

"Should I say something?" Hazel asked.

"Uh... Why don't we go out to dinner tonight, like a double date and I can talk to him." I said.

"Really? You would do that for me?"

"Of course, we can be like besties." I squealed and she laughed.

"Yes I have needed a girlfriend lately. Dodie loves you too. The three musketeers!" She said laughing.

The lights dimmed and Dan and Phil came on stage. Phil smiled at Hazel and she smiled back making a heart with her hands and Phil's face flushed. I shook her arm and she looked back at me smiling. They are so my OTP right now.

We screamed along with the crowd. Soon enough it was over and my throat was sore. The boys greeted us and we told them about our dinner plans.

"Let's go!" I screamed and I grabbed Hazel's arm pulling her along. She laughed looking back at Phil who was stifling a laugh.

"Got a new gal pal?" Dan asked looking at us.

"You did not just say "Gal pal"." I said laughing.

"I don't care. I say what I want to say." He said posing with his hands on his hips.

I laughed harder and ran to jump on his back. He grunted and hoisted me up.

"Away!" I said pointing and Dan started down the hallway.

I looked behind me to see Hazel and Phil looking at each other.

"Oh just do it!" I called over my shoulder and Dan stopped and turned to look at them. Phil motioned to her and she jumped on his back laughing. He hoisted he up and she squealed. Both boys took off toward our waiting taxi. I looked over at Hazel and she smiled at me.

This is the beginning of a new friendship.
