Hey lovelies! Loving this story, but there is something pretty major about to happen which pretty clearly hints at the future of this story!

WOO!

I also just like that song. It kind of fits. I guess.

Enjoy!

(y/n)'s POV

"I most definitely can!" Adrian argued.

"Okay so prove it." Dan said and Mrs. Howell sighed.

"Boys." she said, rolling her eyes.

I laughed and we shared a grin.

"I will." Adrian said, getting up. He then proceeded to begin his 50 push ups next to the dinner table. He grinned at me, watching, and winked. I smiled and winked back. I looked over at Dan seated next to me and he was glaring.

"He's 15 Dan, calm down." I whispered to him and he did.

"48...49...50!" Adrian said, hopping up. Adrian slung his arm around my shoulders and smiled.

"What's it like to meet the better brother?" He said, laughing.

"I don't know, I met Dan so long ago..." I said, taking a bite of the salad I had made.

"Hey!" he said, pouting and Dan laughed.

"Clever one (y/n)." Mr. Howell said, tipping his glass in my direction.

"Not fair." Adrian whined and I smirked.

"What, never met a girl that can throw shade better than you?" I asked as he seated himself next to me. He stayed silent, keeping up his sore loser act.

"I wouldn't mess with her Adrian. She's really competitive." Dan said. I elbowed him playfully and he chuckled.

"So, you would be up for a game after dinner?" Adrian asked.

"Always." We finished up dinner and I helped Mrs. Howell clear the table while Adrian picked out a game.

"Dear you don't mind if I talk to you about something a little serious do you?" She asked.

"Of course."

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but do you mind explaining the whole incident. I haven't gotten much out of Dan."

"Uh...well...wait. Why hasn't Dan said anything?" I asked.

"Mostly crying over the phone. I couldn't make it out." She said, scrubbing a dish.

"Oh."

I had made him cry to the point he couldn't speak. That made me feel worse.

Don't dwell on the past

"Well, it was all my fault really. Dealing with hate towards me from Dan's fans wasn't too hard, but it was too hard to see Dan's career decline like that. I had myself convinced he was better with out me." I said, my voice wavering slightly. I gripped the plate she handed me and she looked at me, worried.

"Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." She said.

Don't dwell on the past.

"No it's quite alright. I will never get used to talking about that." I said, chuckling. Her smile returned.

"Well, thank you for opening up to me so easily. That's a good quality among many." She complimented. My cheeks flushed red.

"Thank you. I can see a lot of Dan in you, you know."
