The Incident

Woo! Back again! I was thinking about uploading some chapters to my other Dan x reader when I have free time or I can start a new one where your character is Phil's sister. IDK the only issue with starting the Phil one is I wouldn't upload everyday until I finish this story. I will let you guys decide! Enjoy as always and stay awesome!

(y/n)'s POV

"So are we like your pack mules now?" Dan said huffing slightly as I dismounted him.

"Hey it's your fault you are so tall." I sassed.

"Actually it's my parent's fault so hah." He retorted.

"Oh yeah, that's going to go over well. Just me showing up at your mum's place saying you owe me a piggyback ride." I said smirking as we climbed into the taxi. I was sat next to Dan, Phil and Hazel were across from us laughing at something on Phil's phone. I hadn't even talked to Phil yet and they were already all over each other.

"Whatever. Speaking of my mum, I was thinking you could meet my parents and Adrian of course." He said playing with my fingers.

"What?" I asked, already slightly stressing about it.

"I want you to meet my family. Do you not want to? Is it too fast?" He asked. He looked slightly hurt as if I was embarrassed of him or something.

"Of course not! I would love to meet them! It's just what If your parents disapprove? I mean parent's approval means everything! And what if Adrian can't stand me! That isn't going to go over well. and what if--" 

"(y/n)."

I stopped looking at him.

"The worst thing that could possibly happen is Adrian hitting on you for practice or my mum talking about babies. They will love you I promise." He said squeezing my hand. Phil and Hazel were watching us now.

"Well do they know about the whole...incident?" I asked.

"Uh...maybe." Dan said, looking down.

"So that's the worst thing that can happen." I said.

He nodded and I sighed. 

"I'll do it, It's fine. I already get enough of it from my own mother." I said smiling at him.

"Your mum?" He asked looking at me.

"Yeah, she blames me for it anyway so you're fine." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh, I'm sorry." He said stroking my hand with his thumb.

"I guess I kind of agree with her and she's just happy we are happy. She thinks you are cute by the way." I said grinning at him.

"Oh really? Cute?"

"Yup, and she says your a keeper>" I said laughing.

"She's not wrong." I said shrugging and Dan placed his head on my shoulder.

"If you don't mind me asking, what incident?" Hazel asked as we pulled up to the hotel. We got out and Hazel walked besides me.

"I'll tell you when we are getting ready." I whispered. We headed up to the room and Dan hopped in the shower from having whipped cream mushed in his face, or so he says, during the show. I put on a fresh outfit and Phil sat playing on his phone. I sat at a table with Hazel placing my make up bag in front of her to do a few touch ups.

"So. The incident." I said as I pulled out a mirror to look at myself. She nodded and I continued.

"Dan and I broke up for a week mainly my fault although Dan refuses to admit it. The fans hated and still do hate me. I was in a video that got a lot of negativity towards me and it caused Dan's subscriber count to plummet substantially. It was probably the dumbest decision but I fled and broke it off over text. He got mad and I got mad. Louise was constantly trying to convince me that I should just make up with him, but I was somehow thoroughly convinced that he was better off with out me. Then he called Louise and I couldn't listen to it so I left and he missed me, obviously not as much as I missed him. It was killing me, but I couldn't be the reason for his career being ruined. So he sent flowers via Louise and that really sent me over the edge. I drove over there, Phil answered the door and I broke down crying. He convinced me to meet with Dan and get everything out in the open. So I did, one of his flowers tucked behind my ear and a bright yellow skirt which to this day I am afraid to wear. I saw him which was one of the most painful experiences of my life and I did want to be with him. Deep down, but I had to let go for his own sake. So I set it straight, apologizing, and taking all the blame and left. Dan followed me and we got into a huge argument. Me saying it was better for him and it was too hard and him saying that love truly prevails. I eventually gave up  and he apologized for making it difficult, that it was both our faults and got up to leave. I of course stopped him and kissed him which was just a huge weight off my shoulders and honestly it always is. It really opened my  eyes and I am not letting him go again. Never." I explained. I felt my entire body relax as if I just needed to get this all off my chest. 

That was probably the first time I have ever really gone over what happened. Hazel sat looking at me wide-eyed and I hadn't even noticed Phil who had joined us. I absentmindedly pushed the brush of my mascara in and out of the tube waiting for someone to say something.

"That, sound really hard. I'm sorry." Hazel said getting up to hug me around the shoulders. 

"oh my god, I just blurted all of that out sorry." I said sheepishly.

"No you were on a roll girl." Hazel said chuckling.

" I moved on really. With the help of Phil,  I realized that's only the past and I should focus on the future. Thanks by the way." I said packing up my make up.

"No problem. Anything for my OTP." Phil said laughing.

"Shut up, you are so ridiculous." Hazel said laughing. Phil slung his arm around her shoulder grinning.

"(y/n) I feel like I have known you forever." Hazel said smiling.

"Me too bestie." She laughed at my use of the word bestie and went into another side conversation with Phil. I turned to see Dan all dressed, leaning on the door frame of the bathroom.

"I heard what you said." He said. Dan's voice was quiet and he looked at me intensely.

"oh" was all I could muster.

I took me up in the best hug I had ever had followed by a kiss. His slightly chapped ones moved against mine in a way that made me hum with happiness.

"Dinner?" I asked as we pulled away.

"Always" He said, grinning and grasped my hand with his warm one.

"Let's go."
