Marry Me

OMG guys! I love you all so much. I was thinking back to August when I receiveed a notification that someone had favorited my story. I remember looking to see that I had increased in views and I literally screamed at the top of my lungs. My neighbors were not pleased but that doesn't matter! I can't believe I have made this progress and it's all because of you guys! I love you more than you could ever imagine and it really saddens me to be ending this story, my FIRST story, at 50 chapters, but I think it will be for the best. 

I was thinking making Internet Friends and Alone everyother day exept Sunday which is Fine Line Between Love and Hate. I was also thinking of making another story about the main character being a YouTuber and they meet at Vidcon, but I wasn't sure if y'all want that and I would need to do some changes to my updating schedule.

Dan's POV

I fidgeted nervously around in my browsing position. I was too awkward to do this. How can I even do this? I got up to find Phil and (y/n) gave me a little smile as I left. I gave a small knock on Phil's door and entered. He was in his pajamas and glasses and he looked up from his laptop at me when I entered.

"Phil, I need help." I said. Phil looked at me, concerned, and I sat down on the edge of his bed.

"Phil, I think I want to propose to (y/n)." I said. We had been dating for quite a long while and it had been almost 7 months since my father had given me the ring. Phil looked at me for a moment in shock.

"Dan, that's amazing! But won't you be moving out then? How will we continue YouTube?" Phil asked. I hadn't even thought about that.

"Well, we can move into a flat nearby, maybe in the same building and we can still work. We'll be over all the time anyway." I said. Phil nodded.

"And what do you need help with?" Phil asked.

"Where do I do it? When? How?" I asked. Phil scrunched up his face to think for a moment.

"Well take her out to her favorite restaurant and do it. I mean, you could do something cute like do it while you play Twister, but that might not work out."

"Yeah, but the restaurant is too cheesy."

"Her favorite spot in the park with fairy lights?"

"That could work. Thanks Phil." I said. I started to get up when he stopped me.

"Can I see the ring?" Phil asked. I nodded and pulled it out of my pocket. I was always afraid she would find it if I didn't have it with me. I opened the box and Phil smiled.

"It's gorgeous" Phil said, staring at the ring. "I'm the best man, right?" I laughed.

"Yes, Phil." He smiled as I put the ring away. I left to go back to (y/n). She looked a little stressed.

"Love, what's wrong?" I asked, seating myself next to her.

"Chris is a little, distraught, over Molly." she explained, sighing. Molly was the girl she had introduce to Chris a while ago.

"I'm sorry. I'm sure if it was meant to be they can work it out." I said. (y/n) looked up at me with a smile.

"You're right. Thank you." she said, kissing me.

"Alright I have to go out and do a few things, but I'll be back." I said. (y/n) nodded and went back to whatever she was working on. I grabbed my coat and headed out. First I had to talk to Chris. I knocked on his door and he opened with a smile.

"Hey Dan, what's up?" He must have gotten over the whole Molly thing relatively quickly.

"I have a request." I started. He ushered me inside and we sat at the table.

"I'm going to ask (y/n) to marry me." I blurted. Chris' face remained emotionless for a moment.

"What?" he asked.

"I would like to ask her to marry me." I said again. Chris stared at me for a moment and took a deep breath, trying to take in the information.

"Wow, that's...wonderful." Chris said, smiling at me.

"Thank goodness." I whispered, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Do you have the ring?" Chris asked. I nodded and handed the small box to him. He looked at it for a moment before a smile crawled on his face.

"Good luck Dan. She's a real handful." He said, handing the ring back to me. I chuckled and slipped it back into my pocket.

"Thanks." I replied. I left with things to do, my mind racing a milion miles a minute. She was my handful.

~Time skip~

"(y/n)?" I called out. 

"Yeah?" she called back.

"I want to take you somewhere, can you come here?"

"Sure, let me get dressed!" she replied. My stomach was burning and I felt dizzy I was so nervous. She came out moments later in a maroon dress with a black scarf and boots. She looked gorgeous. I offered her my hand and she took it, smiling.

I was going to do it.

I was going to be with her forever. 

And I couldn't be happier.

I led her down the stairs and we bgan to stroll down the street towards the park. I had set up fairy lights and a picnic in a shaded area between beautiful evergreen trees. (y/n) shivered and I wrapped my leather jacket around her shoulders.

"You look gorgeous." I whispered to her.

"You look handsome." She replied with a beautiful giggle.

We neared the park and I stopped her. I wrapped my hands around her eyes from behind and led her up the trail. We stopped and I bent down.

"Ready?"

"I guess, You're scaring me." she said, leaning into my chest. I pulled my hands away to reveal the beautiful scene. Her hand went up to cup her mouth and I could see her eyes start to water.

"It's beautiful. Thank you so much." She murmered, turning to hug me.

"That's not the only surprise." I said. She looked at me concerned and I promised it would come later. My heart was beating heavily and I felt like I couldn't breathe. We sat down, laughing and talking the stars mixing with the fairy lights. We ate and layed back to look at the constellations. We eventually stood up to leave when I stopped her.

"Before we go...I wanted to ask you something." She cocked her head slightly as we stood across from each other. My knees wobble slightly and I slid my hand into my pocket. It's happening. We are doing it.

I knelt down on my knee and her eyes widened, her hand once again finding her mouth.

"(y/n), I love you more than you will ever know. Will you please make me that happiest man alive and marry me?" I asked. (y/n) stood there, mouth agape, looking at me.

"...yes!!" She said in between sobs. She watched me slide the ring on her finger, pulling it back to look at it. She pulled me up by my face for a kiss, sparks igniting through my body.

"My god I love you so much." She said, wiping away salty tears.

"I love you too."

What did I just do?

Oh my god.

The reality is sinking in.

Damn.
