"What about this?"

Harrison walked down the isle to see the newest theme Carrie liked for their baby's room. They still didn't know the gender of their baby. In a little less than a month they would. The two of them spent the rainy day getting some ideas of how they would like to set up their baby's room.

"Let's see."

Carrie handed him the book she'd been looking at in the furniture store. "There's this one for a girl, and I found two for a boy that I liked."

He flipped through the book and checked out the themes she liked. The first one was designed for a little girl. The room was painted a darker grey and white, with a white crib and changing station, and pink curtains.

"I think this is my favorite one we've looked through for girls."

"Flip two pages. I like these two."

Harrison looked through the pictures. The first one she'd found for a baby boy had a white crib, white changing station, and blue curtains with a blue chair.

On the other side of the page was one Harrison thought he liked the best for a boy. He absolutely loved the colors. The crib, floor, and changing station were a darker brown, with the wall behind the crib painted with wooden tiles.

"I like the one with the brown crib better."

"Me too. I like the color scheme so much more."

"Although Carolina blue would look pretty nice too," he added with a smile.

"No."

She flipped back to the pink, grey, and white theme they liked for a possible baby girl. "Are we sold on this if we have a girl?"

"Yeah."

Carrie took a picture of it. "And what about a boy?"

"I like the brown."

She took a picture of that one as well. "Me too."

Carrie closed the book and set it back on the shelf. "Looks like we're set with ideas."

Harrison held her hand in his as they took a walk through the rest of the furniture store. They left the isle with pictures of a bunch of different room themes and made their way across the store to check out cribs.

"There are so many to choose from," Carrie admitted.

"Well we're looking for white or brown right?"

She nodded and followed him to a few white cribs sitting beside each other. "What about these?"

"I don't know. I'll know once we find out what we're having."

He gently kissed her forehead. "We have plenty of time to find one we like. I could even build one if you want."

"You can do that?"

Harrison nodded. "I'd love to do it for you."

"That would be special to have our baby sleeping in a crib daddy made."

He stood behind her and wrapped his arms around her with both hands on her now very noticeably pregnant belly.

Carrie took his hand and led him further across to the store, past the beds, and where they had lounge chairs. "I want to look at these before we go."

She had her two interests. White and a light brown. As she looked at chairs, Harrison went over to the other isle where they had wall decorations. It didn't take Carrie long to find two chairs she liked in the colors she was looking for.

It took her a second to find him. And that was because he was wearing his glasses for the first time in a while. She missed him at first. When she realized the cute guy with the glasses, Panthers hat, Panthers pullover, and jeans was her man, she walked over.

Harrison looked up at her as he rounded the corner. "This is what we're looking for."

He was holding a life size Fathead of himself. "Now we're talking."

"No."

"Come on. How do you know our son our daughter doesn't want a big Fathead of their daddy on the wall?"

"Because they're going to see their mommy and daddy everyday."

He put the sticker back. "We could get something Panthers for the wall though."

Harrison and Carrie were exhausted from toy shopping. They got most of the baby's toys today. The two of them got everything, from a high chair, car seats, bouncer, mobile, jumper, a piano gym, to a xylophone on wheels, rattles, blocks, rings, keys, and phones. Pretty much everything the store had.

He gave her a high five. "That is how you maximize on a sale."

"Just thing about it now, we're almost done getting everything we need. That covered a lot."

They hauled everything downstairs into the part of the basement that was now going to be used for storage. "After we have the baby, I should turn this into a man cave. It's certainly big enough."

"Go for it. After you're done changing diapers."
