Hiccup

Astrid was most defiantly not happy with the news.

Astrid: You're can't leave tonight!!

Hiccup: I have to, I don't have a choice!

Astrid: There is always a choice!!

I take a deep breath, the last thing I want to do today is fight with anyone, let alone Astrid.

Hiccup: Astrid....

I was automatically filled with anger. Hiccup and I were yelling back and forth, then I could tell he was thinking. All of a sudden Hiccup gets a "please don't do this" look on his face. It was defiantly a look I couldn't resist.

I sigh and put my hands up.

Astrid: Alright, fine..

He sighed in relief.

Hiccup: Thank you

Astrid: At least we still have the rest of the day...

Hiccup: Morning flight?

Astrid: Sure!

We went on an hour flight, then we went to the academy to break the news to the gang.

The twins didn't seem to understand or care, Snotlout acted like her was happy Hiccup was leaving, which earned his a hard slap, and Fishlegs was historically crying.

It took 30 minutes, just to get Fishlegs to stop crying. By that time Stoick came and told us that we have some chores to do, which took us a few hours.

Honestly it made me a little mad because it was Hiccup's last day on Berk and every minute counts. Nonetheless we finished and the others went to do whatever they wanted to do, so Hiccup and I had some one on one time.

We went to the cove and let Toothless and Stormfly play, while Hiccup and I talked about all that we had been through over the past couple of years.

All the different dragons we faced, the enemies we conquered, the bonds we created, and the battles we won. Of course all things happy.

Then we went on a sunset flight, by the time the sky started to lose its color, Hiccup went to the Forge to make a few things and spend some time with Gobber.

I went to the forge to make some gifts for the riders and my dad and Gobber.

For Astrid , I made her a red tunic, a furry hood, furs to put around her boots, thicker pants, a skirt with some added fur, a small bag of coins because she is the most trustworthy out of everyone, and fuzzy arm bands.

For my dad, I made him a brand new axe with a bunch of designs engraved in the blade, a saddle for Skullcrusher (his dragon), and a colored drawing of him and I.

For Gobber, I made him a wheel to hold the attachments he already had, made him a dozen more arm attachments, a saddle making machine, and sharpened all of his weapons that he owned or owed.

For Fishlegs, I made him a map for each part of the Archipelago we explored, a bunch of books, a belt with a few pockets to store some things in, and a few new dragon classification cards to add to his collection.

For Snotlout, I made an axe, a hammer, a new sheild, a sword, and a sort of Cape thing to make him feel powerful. Snotlout always liked looking tougher and more important than everybody else.

For the twins, I made them a wheel barrel full of Spears, swords, axes, maces, arrows, a couple cans of Monstrous Nightmare gel, basically everything I was absolutely not supposed to give them.

Once I was done, it was just barely dark and the riders and I met up at the academy. I gave each of them there gifts, which they all dearly enjoyed.

They all started going through there gifts, all except Astrid. Who was walking towards me.

Astrid : Hey, I just wanted to say, thanks, for everything.

Hiccup: Me too.

Astrid : I'm really going to miss you...

Hiccup : I'm really going to miss you, too...

We hugged, I am unfortunately still a scrawney, unconfident, one-legged boy at the age of 15, so I'm still pretty nervous around Astrid.

We broke apart...

Hiccup : Hey, Astrid?

Astrid : Yeah?

Hiccup: When I'm gone, can you lead the riders?

Astrid : Of course I will, Hiccup.

Hiccup : I can't thank you enough...

Just then Stoick came and told us to go to the Great Hall to join the going away party for me.

The party lasted for three hours. All of the adults got drunk, while the rest of us talked and ate.

At the end of the party, everybody came up and gave me a handshake or a goodbye hug.

The party was over at about 9:30, so I had enough time to go home, pack, and go on a night flight with Toothless.

At around 11:00 everyone was at the docks to say a finale goodbye and watch me board the Titanic sized ship called the Busy Bee.

I know, I know. What a weird name for such a beautiful vessel, but the ship was in deed a busy bee. Always filled to the brink with incoming students to the magnificent Leader's Camp.

I boarded the ship and looked back at the house I was born in, the island I was raised on, the vikings I grew up with, and the dragons that define me.

The thought of the battle of the Red Death and how I risked my life (and my leg) for the island, the people, and not only those dragons I see standing beside the people I love, but every dragon that was tied to the nest.

I stayed on the deck of the ship and watched my home slowly grow smaller and smaller as we sailed away. Eventually, Berk disappeared into the horizon and I finally decided to turn around.

I looked around and the ship, and it seemed as if everyone had someone to talk to. All except the one other person, that was actually my size.
