Snotlout
I had checked every sea stack and the ocean surface for miles and miles. I even checked nearby islands, caves, abandoned ships, a few dragon's nest (they weren't to pleased about that), but he was nowhere to be found.
Why do I even care?
With a sigh, I turn Hookfang around and start doing everything backwards. I needed to find that dragon.
Tuffnut
While Snotlout, Fishlegs, and Heather went off to the East, West, and South; Ruff and I went further North. We checked everywhere we could possibly think of. Yelling out Toothless' name and listening for any sounds, nothing.
"Nothing! How could there be nothing?!" Ruff yelled out in frusteration.
"Hey, nothing to worry about sister, I'm sure that one of us are going to find one Toothless Night Fury." I said trying to calm her.
"When Hiccup gets back and Toothless isn't there, he's going to look at us with his beady yellow eyes and ask us 'why?" She responded dramatically.
"Uh, I'm pretty sure Hiccup has green eyes."
"What?! No he doesnt!"
"Yep I'm pretty sure he does!" I said.
"I think I would know, Tuff, I've only known him his entire life."
"Hey! You and I were born at the same time! So that means that I've known him longer!"
She crosses her arms and looks away, "Mom said that I was born first!"
I gasp, "Were not!"
"Were to!"
"Were not!"
"Were to!"
Stoick
I pass the dragon stables to see they weren't clean, so I walk to he academy to see it both empty and dirty. I huffed in disapointment.
Making my way through the fields, I noticed that none of the animals' pens were cleaned and that they even managed to let boars get into the crops.
After scaring off the boars I climbed onto Scullcrusher to patrolled the island, think that I might run into the riders. Nothing. As soon as I land I walk up the steps to the Hofferson house. I knock on the door, hoping it's not too early in the day to disturb them.
Arden, Astrid's mom, opened the door with a warm smile she greeted me, "Cheif! Come in, come in."
She steps aside so I could step in and then closes the door behind me. She then makes her way into the kitchen to offer me a drink, but I decline.
"No thank you, I'm quite alright. Do you happen to know if Astrid is still in her room?" I ask.
After putting the mug back she responds, "No sorry, she left first thing this morning," she chukles, " I think she might have actually left before the sun even came up. Both her and Heather."
I nodded my, deep in thought, "Do you happen to know where they went?"
"No, but I do know that she hasn't gotten much sleep these past few weeks."
I thank the golden haired woman before heading back out to start my daily duties, hoping that the riders weren't getting themselves in any trouble.
Astrid
For hours I was walking through the woods. Going through every path I could think of over and over again. Nothing.Out of nowhere I suddenly get the feeling that someone is watching me, sending chills down my spine.
I tightened the grip on my axe, turning in a circle to get a full 360° view. Nothing. Not even a sound, or a change in movement.Stormfly sniffed the air and squawked, turning her head in confusion.
What?
She then lowered her tail and wings, relaxing while still sniffing the air.
What?! Why is she relaxing?
I keep turning, checking for anything, sound, movement; anything. Still nothing.
All of a sudden something jumps from one tree to another. Then another, making me turn in a circle trying to follow whatever it was.
When it goes to jump again, I throw my axe at the figure, but to my suprise, the figure catches my axe, then lands on the ground with a knee on the ground, the other leg bent, one hand touching the floor, the other in the air behind him holding my axe, and his head down. (Aka a cliche superhero landing stance)
