Stressed Out

I took a flight around the island and then landed on the cliffs above the beach. It was all silent, just me, Stormfly, the sound of waves crashing against the rocks, and the night sky.

Then someone broke the silence.

Unknown: Hey! You aren't sitting out here moping, are you?

I quickly turn around, axe in my hand.

A: Heather!?

I quickly get up to give her a hug.

H: Hey!

A: What are you doing here?

H: I figured you could use the extra help

A: Thanks, I really appreciate it Heather.

H: No, problem! It was the least I could do.

She sat down next to me.

H: So.....you thinking about Hiccup?

A: *sighs* Yeah.... Do you think he's changed a lot? What if he no longer has any intrest in dragons? What if he doesn't want to lead the Dragon Riders anymore? "What if he forgot all about us!

H: Astrid, calm....down. Ok? Everything will work itself out, the only thing that you should be worrying about is getting a good night sleep so that you can successfully complete your daily duties tomorrow.

We both got up and walked to my hut. I had an extra room in my house, so Heather stayed there.

After a few months, Hiccup's hut was finished and summer was just starting.

It was a surprisingly short winter. Devastating winter came quickly and luckly we had Heather to help us prepare. The whole village got eel pox twice, but we even stocked up on healing items for Gothi.

It was a week before Hiccup was coming home, but the entire village was starting to decorate for the welcome home ceremony. It takes an entire week to get ready for this party is because we hold one the night before he comes back and one when he arrives.

According to the other riders, I've been on edge lately. I guess everytime they start talking about the different senerious Hiccup might, act, look, or think; I go after them with my axe.

Maybe I'm just a little stressed out. Who knows? There is one thing I am certain of though, I've made some major break-throughs with the kids and Heather's been helping me train.

The other day, the Gang and I went on a mission to get a Scauldron out of Berk's fishing ranks. On the mission, the twins fell into the water while Snotlout and I tried distracting it so that Heather and Fishlegs could catch it.

Unfortunately, I had to send Snotlout to go search for the Twins, leaving me by my self, trying to distract the Scauldron, without getting killed. Also, it started to rain.

Luckly, Fishlegs and Heather work well together, so they caught the Scauldron quickly and took it away from Berk. So I went to go help Snotlout look for the twins, but that rain turned into a thunder storm; and usually where there is thunder, there is lightning.

Snotlout ended up getting struck by lightning and fell into the water as well. When he was in the water, he found the twins.

S: Where have you two Muttonheads been! We've been looking everywhere for you!

R: Hey! We've been calling you, Mister!

S: Well, I can't hear you in the storm!

A: Guy's! Come on let's get out of here!

S: Hookfang!

R: Barf!

T: Belch!

In no time we were all back on Berk, but a two days later both the Twins and Snotlout got sick. Luckly, after a day and a half of medicine and resting they were back to normal in just enough time to go to the Night Before Party.
