When I Come Back

  For hours, I layed in bed, not being able to get a single ounce of sleep. Fnally, I decided to patrol the island my self.

  Not being able to find anything, I landed on the beach, angered, worried, and exhausted.

  That's when I saw it. A figure standing in one of the beach caves holding a torch.

  I quickly grabbed my axe and motion for Stormfly to follow me.

  The figure quickly turned around and ran into the cave.

  Jumping on Stormfly, we quickly flew into the cave, hoping to catch up and suprise the figure. There were multiple different tunnels going in different directions.

  As soon as we flew all the way to the back of the cave, Stormfly and I split up to check all the side corridors.

  I had check three other tunnels before I came to the darkest one.

  All of a sudden at the very end a light flickered on for a split second and then died out.

  I quickly headed to were the light had been, trying to make out any shapes in the pitch black.

  When I had finally made it to where I thought I had seen the light, I started to feel around. I had been in these caves multiple times during the day. So if I could just feel around to get an idea where I was, I might have a better chance at catching this figure.

  Just then, I heard a hissing sound and started to smell a horrible sumstance.

Zippleback gas!!

  If you breathe it in, you can fall unconscious! Unfortunately, it was too late I could already feel my legs giving out.

  The next thing I knew, I woke up the next morning in my bed. As if nothing had happened.

  I quickly get up, get dressed, and walk outside to see Heather feeding Windshear and Stormfly.

  "Wow, I'm surprised to see you up this early!" She greeted me.

  "Wait...so I did leave in the middle of the night last night?" I asked, deep in thought.

  "She laughed. Yeah, I heard you leave, but I fell asleep before you came back." She explained," Did you find anything?"

  I told her all the things that happened last night and she said that we should get the Gang together and have a meeting.

  My terror is quickly sent out to find the riders and show them the note telling them to head to the Academy.
  
  As soon as everyone was in the Academy, they were asking what was going on and why we needed a meeting this early in the morning.

  I explained what had happened last night and what I though about it.

  As I was explaining, the twins and Snotlout kept exchanging looks. While Fishlegs just kept doing his nervous squeal thing.

  When I was done explaining, they all started to talk over each other.

  The twins were saying they wanted to go check it out. Snotlout was saying how he wanted to fight it. Fishlegs was going through scenarios on how it is probably a spirit coming to bring darkness into Berk, or if it's a spy from rival tribes, or what if it's a Night Fury hunter and that's what happened to Toothless.

Toothless!!

  I was so hung up on what happened to me that I had completely forgotten why I even snuck out in the first place.

  "Alright, everyone shut up!" I yelled.

  Everyone stopped talking over each other and turned their attention to me.

  "Our first priority is to find Toothless. Hiccup is supposed to be back any day now and if he comes back and Toothless isn't here he's going to lose his mind." I said.

  "Astrid's right guys. Toothless is Hiccup's best friend, and so we need to find him as quickly as possible." Fishlegs chimes in.

  "I agree. Then, as soon as we're done, we need to tell the cheif what's going on in the caves. Hopefully, it's still there." Heather suggests.

  We all nod in agreement and split up to check the island one more time.

  I chose the woods to look through. First I fly over it slowly  few times to see if I could get a glimpse of any movement. Then I land and start to walk through it. Checking for any tracks, broken tree limbs, or any left behind scales.

  For hours I was walking through the woods. Going through every path I could think of over and over again. Nothing.

  Out of nowhere I suddenly get the feeling that someone is watching me, sending chills down my spine.
