Hiccup

Astrid opens her mouth to say something, when there's a loud knock on the door, drawing both of our attention.

Although, I didn't need to wander who it was on the other side.

I open the door to reveal my father, "Hiccup! Good you're awake!"

He bullies his way into the room before I could even step back. He was obviously excited about me agreeing to finally meet one of the suitors.

"So I was thinking that we have you wear a whole new outfit for this! You know? Like something that really shows you're a true heir!" He exclaims.

I look down at my flight suit, "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?"

Astrid tries to suppress her giggles behind my father, who is suddenly surprised by her presence.

"By Thor! Astrid, I didn't see ya there!"

"Cheif," she greets with a nod of her head.

"Was I interrupting your night activities?"

   Astrid's face flushes red instantly.

I just brush it off with a chuckle, "Yeah, dad. You actually were. Things were getting pretty heated in here."

Astrid's blush is nothing compared to the complete crimson face she has now.

However, Cheif Stoick the Vast didn't find my sarcasm amusing. His shoulders dropped and his smile turned to a disappointment scowl.

"You're not wearing that tomorrow Hiccup."

In fact I made him mad. Great.

He starts to dig through my stuff and comes across my fur coat. The coat is turned a few times for him to get a good look, before he nods in approval.

"You will wear this," he then pulls out my extra pair of pants,"these, and the tunic I wore the first time I met with a suitor."

I didn't like the sound of that. It was probably way too big for me and without sleeves. I know I've gained a lot of muscle over the year, but I was still uncomfortable wearing those types of clothes.

   Sure enough, I was right.

It was one of those tunics that only had straps for the shoulders, no sleeves at all.

These types of shirts are made for people like Snotlout. Most definitely not me.

The one thing that did surprise me though, is that it fit me, tightly, but I guess that's how it's supposed to fit.

"How old were you when you wore this?"

"About twelve." He answered as he figitted with the coat.

I let out a sigh, "Of course you were."

"You and Astrid have been spending a lot of time together." He starts.

I knew where this was going. He is infatuated with the idea of Astrid and I, but if I was going to marry her, I wouldn't want to force it. She deserved more than that.

"Yeah. We're rekindling our friendship." There wasn't much more I could say.

He let's out a soft chuckle, "There wasn't a need for rekindling if you ask me."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "What do you mean?"

He sighed, "You're smart Hiccup. You figure it out."

My father then beckoned me to follow him. Then we took to the skies.
