Ashton's POV

I can't say I'm not nervous about tonight. Rebecca is coming over to get my mind off Cailey, but how? I'm no fool; Rebecca crushed on me in my awkward phase of grade 9, and now that I'm in a band and less nerdy, her attraction level to me is unknown, and I don't know if I'm ready for all that tonight seems to be bringing.

The doorbell rang and I wiped my already sweating palms on my skinny jeans as I trailed to the door. I opened it and she was standing there, smiling up at me.

"Hello Ashton," she said as I invited her in. We wasted no time warming up to one another, quickly becoming comfortable.

"How've you been since I've left school?" I asked her, not really knowing what else would connect us.

"I graduated and now I'm in University to be a nurse. Nothing like what your life has been," she said with a smile, looking down at her black heels, "How surreal is it? Going from your little garage band to playing actual gigs and having fans that aren't just around the neighbourhood?"

"I mean, it's nice, knowing that there are people out there that support us and would actually pay money to watch me live my dream. It's really nice," I spoke.

"Tell me about her."

I looked up to her, a grin immediately showing, "Her name's Cailey. She's short and her eyes are a blue-green but they're almost clear. They're beautiful. It's really got me messed up, her accident."

"I can tell she means a lot to you. Would you like some help getting your mind off of things?" she said with a smirk, scooting a bit closer to me.

"Rebecca, what are you doing?" I stood from the couch and watched her excitement fade.

She lifted off the couch and scooted closer to me, pushing me against the wall, "Just trying to help." She teased.

I whimpered. I knew I wasn't supposed to be, but I was extremely turned on. She smirked as she realized my fears. I needed her.

She took my hand and lead me upstairs as the clothes were immediately shed. Our bodies intertwined, our lips locked together in a sweet harmony. She massaged my growing bulge through my underwear as I moaned into her mouth. Fuck, why was I so easy?

Her hand left my area and lifted to my shoulders as she threw me onto the bed; she wanted dominance.

But I'm dominant. I chuckled, taking her hands as I stood up and laid her down, "What do you think you're doing? I'm in charge here."

I bent down to her neck, giving her rough love bites, "I know what will make this better for us," I reached into the bedside table and pulled out a bandana, "You up for it, Darling?" I asked.

She nodded, taking her lip between her teeth. I picked her up and took her to the top of the bed, where I put her hands above her and secured them to the headboard with the bandana.

I trailed her with kisses, starting at her neck, making my way down to her protruding hip bones. I plucked at the lining of her underwear with my teeth, rubbing her inner thighs with my hands, "Fuck," she muttered under her breath.

It was my turn to rub her, "Damn baby, you're soaked." I let out a moan; this was going to be unbelievable.

I kissed her prize through the lace as her breathing hitched, "I'm going to fuck you so hard," I said, removing the rest of our clothing.

I climbed on top of her and rubbed her in little circles as her eyes closed tightly, "Relax. I'll take good care of you."

Once we were both aroused to an extreme, I was ready. I lifted myself to enter, and then I realized; she was a fucking virgin.

"Rebecca," I said, suddenly losing all sexual craving. I wasn't about to take her virginity.

"What?" She blurted.

I started untying the bandana, "You're a virgin?"

She blushed, looking away, "I didn't think it would matter to you."

I climbed off of her, settling under the covers next to her, suddenly feeling exposed, "It wouldn't matter to me, but it's your first time. I don't want to take that from you. You need to find someone that loves you, someone that matters to you." She was silent, "Okay?" I said.

"Thanks Ash." She got out of the bed and dressed quickly, "Are you good?" She asked. I assumed she meant with Cailey, the sole reason I planned the night with her, and I nodded, "Thank you." And she left.

Calum's POV

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I have feelings for Angelica's best friend. Wow, that's so shitty. My emotions must be really fucked up, because six months ago I was torn, barely holding on to life at her funeral, and now I'm thinking about how her best friend looks when she's writing, and the way her eyes sparkle because she's living her dream. Singing.

I have feelings for Alexza. It took me ages to figure out, but she makes me happy.

Alexza and I have known each other for years. We met at a karaoke contest in grade 6 at a local pizza place. She sang "Babe" by Styx. Her voice was absolutely perfect.

After the contest, it came between her, myself, and another young girl. The other girl won, but Alexza and I got to half a pizza for our efforts.

Over the pizza, we discussed our lives and how stunningly similar they were. We found out that we attended the same school, and took guitar lessons from the same person.

We decided it wouldn't hurt to exchange numbers, and here we are seven years later. I'm her best guy friend and she's my secret.

Over the years, we've made some smart moves with our abilities. In year nine, we sang together for the first time, realizing our ranges were perfect for each other.

We went around town, singing and playing guitar together. Among all the songs we had done, my favorite was The Only Exception by Paramore.

At the time, I had dedicated every performance to Angelica, but tonight was different.

I grabbed my guitar and a jacket, making the decision at the literal last minute. I took the road I'd been taking for years; seven to be exact. I climbed out of the SUV and stood right under her window, throwing rocks at it until she opened it, "Calum, what are you doing here?"

"Maybe I know somewhere, deep in my soul, that love never lasts. We've got to find other ways to make it alone or keep a straight face." She started with a confused look on her face, and I was regretting the decision. But soon I found her hand travel to her mouth in astonishment as her eyes started to tear up.

"And I've always lived like this, keeping a comfortable distance. And up until now I had swore to myself that I am content, with loneliness. But none of it was every worth the risk. You are the only exception."
