Chapter 27

Hannah's POV

"Hannah, I know you're upset with me and you probably won't even listen to this message. I know you hate Alexza, and I can understand that. I was going to come over to your house to apologize, but Alexza and I were in an interview and she's passed out. They took her to the hospital and I'm here with her now. I think you should come see her, Hannah. I don't want you guys to hate each other; and I know you do. So if you could just come and talk to her, you'll see she's not all that bad. You won't even have to do much; just the fact that you showed up to see her would lighten her mood towards you. I love you Hannah," was the voice mail I woke up to the day after discovering Alexza's pregnancy.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, there was no way I was about to be trapped in a room with her. Ignoring Michael's suggestion, I found my way to the shower. After quickly washing up and drying off, I got dressed in casual clothes, not too lazy, yet perky. I left my hair natural, the waves caressing downward.

I decided I was going to treat myself to a good, stress-free day. I had realized it was time to finally be done with Michael; I had become stressed to the max, and he was the reason for all of it. I hopped into my car and found myself in front of the day spa, and trudged in. Asking for the highest priced massage available, I took a seat in the lobby. As I was flipping magazine pages absentmindedly, the front doors opened and there was a scuff noise, like high heels, and another woman sat down next to me, "Hi, Hannah."

Rylie's POV

"Hi, Hannah," I said to Michael's girlfriend as I sat next to her in the spa- what was she doing there?

"Oh, Rylie. Hello, how are you?" she said, putting down the magazine she seemed quite interested in.

"Eh, Luke sent me here to get a facial, said I needed to relax or something. What are you doing here?"

"Same reason, basically. I mean, Michael didn't send me here. But relaxation," she half-smiled. Something seemed wrong.

I smiled and whipped out my phone, shooting Luke a text informing him of mine and Hannah's run-in.

He texted back soon after,

Grab her and bring her to the ER. Alexza is here and Mikey wants you both here for her. Xx Love ya

My eyes widened at the thought of Alexza being in the hospital, and also the thought of her and Hannah being in the same room.

I wasn't supposed to know about Hannah really, and I definitely wasn't supposed to know about the tension between her and Alexza, or the reason for Alexza's presence. But Luke was a weakling, always needing someone to talk to. So one day he confided in me for advice to give to his dear friend, Michael.

He told me everything, from Michael and Hannah to Michael and Alexza, to the deal, to the contract. I ran into Hannah and Michael once at the hotel, and introduced myself. I didn't give away that Luke had told me about Hannah, and luckily Michael introduced me. He pulled me to the side later and explained that Alexza and Hannah were aware of each other, and told me to ask Luke if I wanted to know more, although I was already aware of the whole situation.

"Uh, Hannah. Alexza is in the hospital and Luke said Michael wants us both there."

"Yeah, I know," she said, not looking up from her magazine.

"He wants me to bring you with me to see her."

She looked up at me, "I would rather not be put in a room with her, Rylie. I think it would be best for everyone if I stayed here."

"Please?"

She didn't say anything.

"Okay, how about this. I take you and you meet her. You guys try to resolve the tension, and if you end up fighting or feeling uncomfortable, I'll bring you back and pay for your massage."
