Aller is the verb to go
Je vais- I go (Je vay)
Tu vas- you go (to va)
Il/ elle/ on va- he/ she/ one goes (eel/ el/ on va)
Nous allons- we go (nooz allon)
Vous allez- you go (vooz allay)
Ils/ elles vont- they go (eel/ el von)To ask how someone is:
Ça va? (Sa va)
Comment vas-tu? (Com-on va to)
Comment allez-vous (Com-on allay voo)When saying "Ça va?" your voice will always raise at the end, as it is a question that is used the same way as a statement.
To reply to:
Ça va?- One can simply say "Oui, ça va." (Yes, I'm fine) *wee sa va*
OR
Ça va..
Bien- well (byan)
Très bien- very well (tray byan)
Pas mal- not bad (pa mal)
Mal- bad/ not well (mal)When answering to the other two questions, you can say: Je vais bien, très bien, etc.
