[January 15,2016 12:30 am]For the past consecutive days Grey and Midnight have been talking.
It was easy for Grey to feel comfortable with Midnight considering her bubbly voice and bright personality.
And from those past days Grey knew Midnight was a bright girl.
She was smart. The emotionally type of smart. She knew when Grey was feeling down and knew in some mysterious way how to make him smile. Some part of Grey was scared because of how much Midnight knew his feelings and how to handle them but another part of him (the bigger one) liked and felt comfort in Midnight's bubbly voice.
So it didn't faze him when his phone started ringing.
"Hello?" He immediately answered his voice sounding slightly breathless (which he was)
"Grey! How was work?" She asked her voice softening. Midnight also knew how easily agitated Grey was, Especially after work.
"If you could consider old ladies screaming at you as great, then it would perfect." He mumbled.
Instead Midnight brought her soft giggle causing Grey to soften up. Midnight had that effect on him. Especially her giggles, they were soft and childish-like. They were perfect. Carefree and perfect."Nothing you can't handle Grey, besides, please those old ladies they'll stick to you through thick and thin."
"You talk like you know."
"Oh trust me, working in old ladies' daycare puts me in the position to know."
"Why am I not supposed you work something like that."
"It's just a summer job, besides helping the family out... Is well... Helping..."
"Summer job?" Grey asked curious.
"Yeah school starts in April and I'm taking my sweet time with those old ladies."
"What grade are you, Midnight?" Worry spread through Grey. What if some pedophile called her and sweet small Midnight didn't know what to do.
"I'm not that young," she mumbled softly.
"Midnight." Grey asked sternly.
"I'm graduating this year." She softly said noticing agitation and worry flow off Grey.
"I'm seventeen." She softly added.
"Does that make me a Pedo?" He teased softly easing worry off Midnight. He didn't liked her worried or sad. Midnight is the type of person who should stay happy and Grey would try his best to make her stay happy.
Her laugh was back causing Grey to crack into a grin.
"How old are you anyways?"
"19" He whispered softly hoping she wouldn't scream and block him. But he should have known Midnight wasn't the type to do that.
"You're not that old." She teased.
"I'm mean, maybe your growing a it of grey hair but that's quite normal. And a bit of belly fat but that's okay, the people you love will stay by your side, so don't worry. "
Grey broke out a laugh enjoying her jokes. He couldn't help it. He was smitten by her personality.
"Thanks Midnight, I really need that."
"Thanks Grey...I needed that too." She softly said before hanging up.
