Heart beating and hands clammy, Grey worried about the blank, emotionless look etched on Midnight's face.
He didn't know if he was what Midnight envisioned. Maybe she wanted someone more lanky, more muscles, lighter skin, maybe-
"You're... You're Grey?" She questioned her eyes crinkling.
"Why? Disappointed?" Grey joked nervously his eyes trying to avert Midnight's.
"Grey." Midnight's soft soothing voice caught him. "How could I ever be disappointed in you?" Then she paused, a blush arising on her cheeks.
"I actually thought it was the other way around." she whispered, embarrassment and honesty flowed through her voice.
"Midnight... I could never. I mean, NEVER. Be disappointed in you. Worried and angry yes, but never disappointed." He whispered softly taking her petite chubby hands into his.
Her black obsidian eyes stared into his as he stared back. To see Midnight in real life, you realized her name fitted her perfectly.
She was a mixture of bright and darkness, her beauty was real. And she, she was Midnight. And for once Grey had something to call his.

"I didn't know you worked along with Jonas." Midnight stated while she looked at Grey.
Grey couldn't help but smile at how short she was compared to him. Granted, he wasn't as tall as other nationalities, but for a Filipino he reached a fair height.
"I didn't know you knew him." Grey retorted back as Midnight looked away while blushing.
"Jonas... He's around my age but accelerated. Got a stable job at 15 and the rest, is history." Her blue-infused hair was held back by a cute orange headband, stopping it from bothering her sight.
Both where silent for a moment unsure how to feel. They practically knew each other, but in reality they were lost.
"Midnight... You... You still want to talk to me, right?"
"Of course! I was so worried when you didn't respond to any of my calls and texts... And I thought... I thought you didn't want to be my friend anymore... I was disappointed." She whispered softly.
"I guessed that's why I jumped into action when you texted me to meet you at the bakery. I had to see you. Whether I was ready or not"
"I'm sorry"
"For what?"
"Putting pressure on you. I just... When I tried to call you at the party and your phone rang, I knew I had to know. I'm sorry if you think this is weird." Grey laughed hoarsely. "I just needed to know. Jerkish move, I know..
But I needed to know who you are princess. I needed to know if the drunk blue-hair beauty in front of me is the Midnight I've grown accustomed to."
"Well, to make things better I'm really glad I met you Grey. I met the real you. But just beacause I haven't seen how you look like doesn't mean I don't trust you." Midnight stated softly, letting her hand reach for Grey's.
"You're a good person, Grey. You watch out for me. I'm really glad I butt dialed you on New Year's Eve." She said a hint of amusement laced into her voice.
Grey chuckled looking down at the little beauty who smiled back at him.
"I'm glad too, Midnight."

Hey Grey! Just wondering if you're home yet??? Text me ASAP!!! I MIIISSSSSS UUUUUUUUUUU
Grey chuckled at the abrupt message Midnight sent him. Today was one of the best days in his life.
He finally got to meet his princess.
No matter who she was or how she looked Grey loved her. He bubbly personality, grunting laugh. She was adorable.
Adorable and his.
Grey couldn't help but think about what Midnight thought of him. Did she thought of him as a brother? Friend? Something more?
He didn't know, but the care and love that ran deep in him wouldn't stop him from praising and making Midnight happy.
She always found a way to keep a smile on his face, and now, Grey decided he who return the favor.
Smiling softly, he texted back:
Grey_💕
Hey princess, I'm home. Don't worry about anything, sleep. I'll talk to you tommorow.
Then he added:
Grey_💕
Oh, and I miss you too.
