They both sat still. Neither saying a word, neither acknowledging the fact of what just happened. If they did, they both knew they would fall back.
Grey was ready to fall back.
Midnight wasn't.
No one would catch her.

"Are you really just going to ignore me?" Grey questioned frustratingly as Midnight sat and drank her cup of hot chocolate, not diverting her eyes to the Filipino boy who looked like he was about to make a scene.
Grey hated being ignored. Especially by the girl who held his heart.
"Night, we can't go like this forever. When are we going to talk about it like adults and try to fix it?"
Grey didn't expect the quick whiplash of Midnight eyes to focus on him. And neither did he expect the frustrated tears that hid her beautiful black obsidian eyes. She looked at him angrily and stormed out.
"Night, wait!" He jogged after her but he could see frustration and anger clouding Midnight's judgement, she continued to walk, book clutched in one hand, fist clenched.
"Night, you know you have to listen. You know I love you!" For a moment, Grey noticed her tensed, but nevertheless she continued walking away from him.
"Midnight! You can't leave again."
She walked faster.
"So this is what you're gonna do huh." Grey shouted bitterly, he was too tired of chasing after her. She didn't want him. Why should he want her? "You're gonna walk away and then cry as if I didn't try to fix us. That's what you're good at Night, walking away!" Tears started to blind Grey's vision. He's never felt this intensely for a person and the moment he does, the feeling is not reciprocated.
"I'm sorry that I have to leave, okay? I don't want to but damnit Night, just because I'm leaving doesn't change anything my feelings for you. It doesn't change us."
He suddenly watched Midnight shake then she dragged him to her apartment. It was early in the morning so the streets were solemn. Almost matching the feelings Midnight had for him.
Once they entered her apartment. Grey couldn't help but let the tears flow. He hated crying. Ever since it felt as if it was a sign of weakness. And he didn't want Midnight to see how weak he was around her.
