(YA'LL BETTER LOVE ME✨💕)

[January 26, 2017 1:56 am]

"When did you transfer here?" Grey sighed, as his eyes met the ceiling. Of course she would as that, he was just hoping she wouldn't.

But this was Midnight. And Grey knew she deserved to know.

"I was just 15 when I moved here." He said softly as he heard Midnight gasped.

"But that's-"

"I know, it was too young. But, I was on a scholarship program which would be too good to miss. So after my 15th birthday, I packed my bags, boarded the plane and landed here."

"Was it scary?" Midnight voice was now small, which was unlike her bubbly charismatic voice Grey had grown accustomed to.

"Yes."

"I didn't knew anyone here, it was just a school guardian and me. And going to a new school filled with kids who talk, act, do things differently was so....it was terrifying."

"I know. I transferred here with my ate(older sister) when I was just 16. She was better though. She molded in so well, and she made a lot of friends. It was like she didn't miss the Philippines at all." Midnight chuckled, but Grey could hear the bitterness that lingered.

"And whenever I would cry, telling her I miss our family, she would tell me to suck it up. It was unfair really, how much my sister left me in the dark."

"Where's your family now?"

"My mom finally transferred here , but my father... He died there."

"Oh. I'm..." Grey couldn't finish his sentence.

"Are you going to say 'I'm sorry?'"

"Yes."

"Don't be." Midnight's voice soften. "My father loved his country. He couldn't and wouldn't leave it no matter how persuasive me and my ate were."

After a moment of silence, Midnight started speaking.

"Grey?"

"Yes?"

"Can we please.... Talk about something else, I just... I like being happy, and these aren't happy memories."

Midnight didn't need to explain any further, and unconsciously Grey nodded his head, as if Midnight was right in front of him.

"Of course, Midnight."

So for the whole night, they talked about their life, their favorite things to do, the people whom they hold dearest to, and anything in between.

So at the crack of dawn, as Grey heard Midnight yawn, he softly cooed to her, until she fell asleep, leaving Grey content.
