Chapter 1/The good employer.

Kelsie pov

I tried my best to make a good impression during my interview.Dressed in nothing but black boots,black jeans and a grey top.I look horrible.I looked at the girl seated next to me.She looked more of a girl than I did.Her blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail and her eye lashes buttered as she looked at the guy who sat right in front of her.
What a whore.I said to myself ,a man came to seat right next to me.
"Casie Stones."another man came out of a room which was right in front of me and the blond walked into the room cat walk style.
If they give her a job here then they are insane.I smiled a little and got serious again.After about ten minutes she walked out of the room and the man peeked out and called"Kelsie Night."I raised my hand to show my presence and he nodded.
I followed behind him into a bright room.

"So we looked over your files and you worked as a janitor at a local convenient store...Why did you leave?"a man,in his mid 30s,I suppose asked as he looked me straight in the eye.
"The salary was good until they started to pay late.And so I decided to try something new."His gaze shifted from my eyes to what I wore.
"And do you have any criminal records."Judging a book by its cover are we.
"No I finally answered."He let out a sigh and nodded as he checked my application form.
"You might be just what we've been looking for.Welcome to North River tavern Miss Night."he smiled at me.
Man I thought that was gonna be tough.As I came out of the room the blonde notice my excitement and rolled her eyes.I bet she tried to whore her way trough the interview.
I let out a small smirk showing her whose more dominant and she picked up her pink Couch purse and left.

Work started on Monday and I had two days to prepare.I think I even had enough time to check on what was happening back in Ohio.Since I've been on the run I haven't heard a word from Wendy,My best friend who helped me escape.

*Flash back*
"Kelsie they're are some guys looking for you."she spoke through the phone looking confused.I was pretty sure it was Luke.That dumb basted dumped my ass and when he found out I was dating Shawn he toured him and gave him hell.Eventually Shawn dumbed me too.
"Tell him and he's good for nothing goons I don't want anything to do with them."I yelled as I was on my way home from work that evening.
"I-I don't think it's Luke."she said with fear.I stood on the side walk for a while.I didn't know anyone apart from Luke And Shawns friends.Not to mention I was an orphan.
My heart skipped a beat and for the first time in forever I was scared.
"I'm on my way."I hung up as I took faster paces.

Ring Ring.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my apartment door bell ring.I grabbed my baseball batt from the corner of my room and made small steps toward the door.I took a peak through the whole on the door and saw nothing.I opened it slowly before I jumped out like a maniac looking both sides.
No one was there.Just as I was about to enter I found a letter on my doorstep.What the hell?

I asked myself as I picked it up and saw in capital letters.'Legion of brothers.'I took one more survey before heading back in and resting my head for the night.Next Friday is my 18th birthday and another year without real friends or real company.

Marcus pov
After 17 hours of flying I finally arrived home.yes I finally adapted to it as home.
Curtis waited outside the airport and I spotted him as I exited the building.
"How was your flight Mr Della Robia?"he opened the door to my black Mercedes GLK 35o.
"Same as the rest."I said taking off my sunglasses.I sunk in the back seat as I opened an email from My Doctor telling me I had an appointment tomorrow.It was only Monday and I needed to rest.

"Need to rest.Im tiered."I replied and shoved the phone into my pocket.My phone vibrated again and I took it out of my pocket again.

"You have been gone too long.You need your prescription."he replied.

"It was only a few weeks and I'm fine."I replied and this time when he replied I didn't bother to look at the messages.

I looked out the window as Curtis drove through the Main Street.I noticed we where headed for home and I told him to take me to the office.
"You know sir you should have made up your mind before we made a left."he looked through the rear view mirror.
"I don't pay you to make my decisions."I spat and he just laughed.Curtis was black American,had a humor and was also my trainer when he was not my bodyguard.Most of the times when I treated him Ill he just gave me a small smile and cracked a joke.
He was filled with joy in his heart.He had a wife and a daughter and what else would he wish for.

"Sorry Curtis...I just had a rough deal with Finance minister of South Africa."I said as he pulled over the entrance to The building.Wait cut that.My building.
"I understand.Life with out a mat-"
"Don't say it."i threatened and he waved his hands in surrender.For the first time he put a smile on my face.
"She's out there you know."he said calmly.I gave out a heavy sigh.I built my empire without her and I'll continue without her.
"Even if she knocked on my door and introduced herself I would still reject her.Im not interested."I said while I grinned my teeth together.I was now getting ticked off.

Curtis went mute.I got out of the car and went into the building.Correction.My building.

I took the elevator that led directly into my office.Once in My office I took a seat in my chair and opened my laptop.

"Tommy I need some coffee.No milk and make it strong.No sugar but you can add a sweetener."I called him on the phone.And in no time he came racing through my glass door.He put it on my glass desk and walked to the door but he turned around.

"Hum sir?"he started.I never took my eyes off my computer.
"What?"I snapped
"Mr Morris said he needs to meet with you."I saw him blink a couple of times before looking down from the conner of my eyes.
"Tell him I'm not giving him his company back.The deal was final."I said not taking my eyes off my computer again.
"He said if you don't negotiate he will sue you for....robbery."he delayed the word robbery.I shut my laptop and looked at Tommy,my secretary,who was almost out of my My office.
That ass hole has the nerves to blackmail me.His company was bankrupt and all I did was offer him a helping hand.But I later fired him after I lured him into selling me Morris law firm.

I smiled knowing he was going to lose and look like a fool if he proceeded.
"Tell him to bring it on."An evil smile curved my lips.
